Question about ASUS V6800 GeForce 256 Deluxe (32 MB) Graphic Card

Unable to capture video using GeForce 256 (V6800)

Hi, I have a GeForce 256 card also known as a ASUS V6800 deluxe. It has both video in and out sockets. The ASUS Live utility is for displaying and capturing video from an external source. I have Windows 2000 SP4 with DirectX9. I was never able to use it as the install program from the original driver CD aborts with an error. Then I downloaded the latest version of the Live utility V4.6b2 from the ASUS site. At first I could see the incoming video in the preview window. I tried to select capture mode but it gave me the error "Connecting to capture driver occurs error..." (sic) "Please check your capture driver is correclty installed or not, then restart your Windows...". I tried restarting Windows, re-installing ASUS Live, and using the manual Capture Driver install util in the install folder, but nothing helps. Just by the way, the Live utility screen doesn't look anything like the picture of it in the manual! I must say, quality of ASUS documentation and programs are not up to scratch! I thought maybe the card the needs a BIOS update, but the BIOS update utility I downloaded does not run! Error = "Can't open driver service". So does anyone know of any way to fix the capture driver? It also occurred to me that maybe video capture cards have a standard interfdace, so is there perhaps some program (freeware) that can work with the card and allow me to preview the video input and capture it? Any help appreciated!

Sounds like a driver issue. Maybe win2k is not completely compatible with your video card drivers. Win2k is known to have issues with third party drivers.

I need driver for ASUS V6800 GeForce 256 Deluxe (32 MB) Graphic Card for windows xp

You can download it from the Asus official website, click this LINK, this will direct you to your graphics card drivers download page. On the page, click the down arrow button on the right side of "O.S" (beside the red texts "*Required") and select "WinXP", the available download options will be displayed to you, click "VGA" to expand it and download the driver. You'll need to click the floppy disk icon labelled as "Global (DLM) etc.." to begin the download. The topmost among the available lists of downloads is the latest version (updated). I would recommend you to download it. Alternatively, you can download it from this LINK(direct download link). The driver package will come down as a zip file. I hope you know how to open zip files on your computer. Windows xp can open .zip file (by default). Let me know if you need further help.
Good Luck.

Is there a driver for V8420 Delux Graphic Card for windows 7 ?

No. Drivers for this card were released up to XP.

This card is built on an NVidia GeForce 8 series chip. You can try the latest driver pack for GEForce 8, I don't know if it will work.

How to upload songs to my phone?

Depending on the provider data cables are sold for this by your local provider. These cables are used to tranfer songs pics and more. Also try sending them from your e-mail address your provider also has a website address for the certain phone you are using. Try asking them what your address is and if you have internet access they will provide you with this.

this means Video card not found or video card memôry bad...
Does the card set well in its socket?
Does the card need an additional power supply cable (some do...)

Just installed ASUS N7600GS/HTD/256M GeForce

Let's try this:

Remove the new board from the machine, boot up into the BIOS and disable the onboard video, save your changes and power down the machine (unplug). Reinstall the board and boot her up.

Choosing Graphics card.

NVidia Geforce series, i have found is the most reliable and less likely to screw with your system in a negative way like Radeon.

I have used all forms of video cards in the past. the GeForce series is stable. I have a Dual HDMI output card myself, its only a 512mb DDR2 but it does the work load of MMORPG's with ease and my system very rarely has issues unless i am trying to run more than i rightly should. So my suggestion is the GF9600T. It is powerful beyond beleif and will make resolution and texture ratio through the roof.

Thats my professional opinion on this.
