Spin The machiene was making a lot of noise during the last wash. Now it will not spin. Any idea of the problem Hardev

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. You need to check your spin bearing and the motor drive. If the noise is only during spinning, you need to check these. Anytime a washer makes loud noises during spinning, always check the spin bearing and motor drive.

what kinda noise, sqeeling, or clunking, mite be sumthing small that made its way behind ajatator an is causeing noise..or one of the springs that hold it broke..sorry i dont no what kind of noise.....

first off empty the washer and check the 2 belts about a foot, from the bottom,to see if there still intact,,,also could need some grease to free up seized parts...gl

Hello, could be a possible bad pump. I would lean the washer back so you can see the belt. take the belt off and spin all of the pulleys. the pump pulley has a s leave that sometimes makes a grinding noise.

Can someone help me please, I have a Hotpoint WM 64 from last week it gives prob. Works well but when you choose a prog it starts well but during last half (as it reaches the green line which i think it means rinse) it stops then i have to kind of go for an other wash to get the cloths rinse well. Anyone have any idea what is going wrong with the machine..?

Yes, bearing, most definitely. It is a cheap part but difficult to replace.

the agitator transmission may be the noise source because it turns with the drum during spin. may need a new transmission just to stop noise.
