Flashing green light and not starting

I bought this dishwasher less than 6 months ago and all was well until it now won't start. The green light flashes when pushing the start button. I checked the breaker box and I pulled it from the wall. The manual does not talk about this flashing light and what it means but I need to know what to do to get the darn thing to work. I would hate to have to call a repair man on something that might be simple. I undid the washer from it's location and I can't see visiblibly that anything is disconnected or wrong. Can you please give me some suggestions on what to check.

My model number is 587.15188400 and my serial number is N)TH62384404. The buttons I have on this make/model are:
Hi temperature/heat dry/delay hours/start-cancel and then I have a dial button that is for quick rinse-normal-heavy wash-upper rack and light wash.

What if anything can I do to reset this flashing green light?

Dott, Im looking at the tech sheet for your model and it gives no information on the flashing light. It has been my experience that this usually indicates a bad touchpad. Since this is under warranty, it will be covered 100%. A couple of things you can try, first kill the power to the unit for 1 minute and see if it comes back the same way. If that doesn't work try to press the heated dry and start/cancel pads together for 3 seconds with the dial set to rinse only. This would put the unit into a test cycle. If both of these fail, you probably have a bad touch-pad. Call for service...Catriver...post back.

I have model #587.15193401 and I used the solution "press and hold on 'heat dry' & 'start/cancel' together for 3 seconds while dial is in 'rinse' mode" and this fixed the problem I had where the dishwasher would not cycle on, at all, and the washing light only flashed green when I tried to cycle any mode on. Thanks!!! Saved me a bunch of $$$

I have this model and have replaced the touch panel four times. Yes, four times. The panel just failed again and I'm going to replace the unit, not sure what brand to look at now. DG, Aurora Ohio

I dont have a solution for this problem but I too have the same problem with the same make and model listed by op. I wanted to thank catriver for his suggestions. I did try hitting breaker for three minutes and then did what was suggested by hitting the buttons in the order given but to no avail. Repairperson coming next week. Arrgh!! But it was good to have some thing proactive to try. So thanks Catriver for your help. MAC
