I purchased the Kenmore Downdraft Blower Model number 233.5994090
I need additional grease filters that fit into this blower but can't find them. Please provide guidance on where to purchase these filters.

I have the manual on this model. It says it is part#97009786 key#33. and has a phone# of 1-800-366-part(7278) to call to order.
Hope this helps.

No model number but they are pretty much all the same you have a failed micro switch behind each filter screen is one rarely see them go bad but filters have to be in place for unit to work, depending on model there are either two or three switches around the motor they are pretty aggravating to get to they are located in the panel below the cook top some models require the removal of the blower motor and housing and depending on the install still my not be able to remove the main panel if you can get past all of this to the switches don't waste time testing them just change all of them they get grease in them which won't allow the contacts to mate
Remove the motor together with the blower wheel, go to the local self service car-wash and use the engine de-greaser cycle (if not available, buy a can at the auto supply, spray the fan blade and let sit for a while) and get all the grease of the fan blades. make sure the fan blades are cleaned thoroughly. the fan will now ran quietly and will remove all the grease away. in the future, clean the filters often.
The filters need to be seated properly to complete an electrical safety circuit. This keeps the unit from operating without the filters. The best way I have found to fix them when they get dislodged in the closed position is by using two spatulas. The first is used to move the filter forward a bit and the second is used to keep it pushed tightly forward to complete the circuit.
It is self resetting. There is no button or "reset". If it has not reset, you'll need to buy a new one. This usually caused from plugged filters or blower motor not working. Be sure to correct the problem before replacing the safety.
