Try adjusting the sound on the tv. If you go into the "user" audio options you can select between normal and True Surround SXT. That may work. Otherwise, try playing with your dvd player's options. The problem I'm having is the tv plays the sound before the picture.

check to see you have the cables required by the tv. usually you need hdmi or dvid for hd display. digital rights management protocols have resulted in chips in playing devices that allow only the use of the referenced cables to protect content from being copied. in some sets they default to not playing in hd, but still play something.
look there first, otherwise you may have an input source mismatch. follow instructions on the dvd player first, then make sure the tv has compatible settings.
if that does not solve, you have a service issue with one or both.
good luck

I have seen several LG plasma that have a pink picture and everytime it has been a failed control pwb. This bd is located under the assembly that houses the main digital bd. The main dig. bd is the one with all of the inputs.

If both units are LG you don't have to program anything. Below the power button are 6 buttons labeled TV, DVD, etc. As soon as you push the DVD button the remote should work it. Remember to push the TV button again to make it work the TV.

Bad caps in the power supply. Replace all bad cap or replace Power Supply Module. If you choose to try and fix it yourself yourself will need a ESR Meter to check the caps in circuit. Let me know if this helps.
1) Press and hold down the "Power" button on the Samsung BD- P1500 Blu-Ray player.
2) Verify that there are no discs inside the Blu-Ray player.
3) Press the "Search/Skip" button for 5-10 seconds until you see it restore itself to its default factory settings.
A menu should appear on the screen to confirm that you have reset the BD-P1500 Blu-Ray player.
Hope this solves your issue :-)
