I had this same problem when i started. You cant plug the monitor into the normal serial port. You have to plug it into one of the graphics card ports near the bottom. The plug wont fit normally so you must use the little adapter piece that comes in the small box. Put that onto the monitor plug and insert it into the graphics card.

I have been fixing one for a customer. At first I thought that it was the typical burned out powersupply. Delta Electronics has created a replacement. The old REV 00 is 185 watts peak. The new REV01 is 185 nominal. Was the shaggy067 did not take the time to look up is that the 610 is an "All in one" modular monitor/case.
This customers is the first one that I have replace the power supply and it still does not work. I believe the flourescent backer of the LCDmoniter dosent work - 1.gif is shot. I will not know for sure until I find another one. The S-video works fine, so I am testing it using my projector. Everything works except the lcd panel.
check out http://www.32oz.com/mirror/Gateway_610/ for how to disassemble and replace the power supple. By the power supply from http://www.skyline-eng.com/ and not from the crooks on ebay1.gif. They are the only authorized rebuilders of the power supplies.

You give too little information. Is this a new monitor or new computer/video card? Obviously the monitor is OK, but it is also likely that your video card and/or settings are at fault. I would recommend trying a different monitor with the computer. After that, you should try escaping during the boot sequence (by pressing the Ctrl and F8 keys repeatedly during the bootup). This should then give you the option of booting in Safe Mode. This will allow you to then tweak the video card settings. Try a lower resolution setting. Of course this all assumes you are running Windows OS. Good Luck.

The problem is the video card on the computer its not the monitor itself. Check your video card or integrated video settings on your computer. Make sure everything is updated and running fine on your video card or integrated system.

SOURCE: when i turn my computer on the big button which is

Make sure your cables are all firmly connected. Also check the power strip or surge protector. If all is connected well and the pc will still not turn on it looks like the problem is the power supply unit, which can be replaced for around $20. I hope this works :).

WHY IS THE GREEEN POWER BUTTON FLASHING ON MY MONITER AND THE SCREEN THEN GOWS BLACK

When the power light is flashing the monitor is not getting a stable signal. This is hard to answer without direct troubleshooting. Check the cables first, make sure they are connected securely. If you still have problems test another monitor you know works or move monitor to a computer you know works, this will determine if the monitor is the problem or not and tell you if it is your "graphics port or adapter". If another monitor works fine, use the working cables to test the "broken" monitor. If you have an "all-in-one" computer, ignore the above steps and use a start-up repair disk. The reason this is hard to troubleshoot is there are so many things to diagnose. More than likely your "graphics card" is failing. These are some tricks to repair. You can update the driver, buy a graphic card separate from the stock port.

Canon printer ink absorber full

Hello, The absorber is triggered by printer count, not a moisture meter, so chances are that it is not really full. I have never cleaned or replaced my mp470 pad and have not had a problem. To by-pass the message try thie following. It works fine on my mp470 and may work on your mp280.
Waste ink full reset

These are the instructions which worked for me on my Canon pixma mp470:

1) Close the print head cover, and turn off the printer. While pressing the Resume/Cancel button, press the Power button. (Do not release the buttons. The LED lights in green to indicate that a function is selectable.)

2) While holding the Power button, release the Resume/Cancel button. (Do not release the Power button.)

3) While holding the Power button, press the Resume/Cancel button three times, and then release the Power and Resume/Cancel buttons. (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in either orange or green, starting with orange.) During initialization, the LED blinks in green.

4) When the LED stops blinking and lights in green, press the Resume/Cancel button the 4 times. (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in either orange or green, starting with orange.)

5) Press the Power button. The LED lights in green, and the
selected function is performed. (When the operation completes, the printer returns to the menu selection mode automatically.)

6) Power off then back on and test.

There is an error message which says: waste ink near full what do I do next?

The printer will still work just fine, but the message will not go away. Changing the tank is a messy job and canon willtell you to take the printer to a service center. The following has worked to remove the message on my pc. Sorry, I'm not aware of the tank or pad cleaning procedure, but this should help with the message removal.

On button is orange and moniter wont come on

If the PC is on and running and the light is oragne it means your video card is bad or the cable is loose.

Power off your PC (gonna have to hold the button down on PC until it turns off) and then turn off the monitor.

Reseat cables on both ends from Monitor and PC then power back on again and see if that helps.

If it still doesn't work you have a bad video card.

Hope this helps

Sir Help me with my Compaq monitor MV520 it won't turn the power led flashing orange to green continously

it could be th epower supply and it could be the monitor.
power ON button should not flash orange regardless what you do. it should stay green. then orange. not orange to green to orange.
try the monitor on another PC if you can fine one.
the other thing is are the 2 monitor similar (CRT to CRT and LCD to LCD), you can't mix the the two, they will work but need different video driver to function correctly.
