Use the lowest magnification eyepiece-- that's the one with the LARGEST number on it.

Try focusing on a distant object during the day time.

The focuser is broken-- you cannot buy parts for that telescope-- which has been out of production for a long time.

My daughter recieved a telescope 50x/100x w/ tripod for christmas and we are unable to see anything out of it? Not to mention that one of the focus lens did not come with a cap.
This is considered a toy telescope. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser-- DO NOT USE the 2x barlow if you have one. Practice focusing on a distant object during the day time.

I have a brusser telscope, i point it an the moon but cannot focus it in, but i can focus on a tree leave with noproblem. what am i doing wrong
We receive more complaints on that telescope than just about any other. Many people post the same problem -- unable to focus. Take it back to where you bought it, and never buy that brand again.

We are unable to see anything through the scope. Can you send instructions that are in laymens terms?
There are TWO types of telescopes a refractor and a reflector.

The picture you posted is a refractor telescope.

Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. You may also have a diagonal which contains a small mirror and makes it easier to look through the telescope when it is pointed up.

If you do have a diagonal, put it into the focuser first, and then put the eyepiece into the diagonal. Take the scope outside during the day time and practice focusing on a distant object.

You never said what type of telescope you have???? While you can buy replacement focusers they are expensive and probably not worth doing. Here is a link to some replacement focusers.

My son got a telescope and we are unable to focus on anything.
Use the lowest magnification eyepiece which is the one with the largest number on it--- DO NOT use the barlow which will DOUBLE the magnification!

Go outside and focus on a distant object (during the daytime) and practice focusing the telescope. Move the focus know slowly in and out until you get a sharp image.

Focusing Issue
The screws should be short enough not to stop the primary's travel, but pull them out and try it again. Good luck! George.

Focus Issues
Try tightening the grub screw that fastens the knob onto the shft that it turns.

Better still, buy a flexible extended focusser which makes focussing much easier. Check on eBay for "Meade flexible focus"

What am I doing wrong with my star alignment process? I do not have access to the Bushnell Customer Service urls and it must be because I live in an unsupported country. 2 Star Alignment method (telescope is completely on level ground): When aligning my telescope, I choose two stars (ex. Spica and Arcturus) that I am completely familiar with. However, the built-in computer suggests that the stars (Spica or Arcturus) are elsewhere according to the coordinates given on the handset. I am 100% sure of the locations of the stars that I have chosen. Upon trying to correct the built-in computer, I ignorantly align the stars by centering them each in the field of view. Thus, I would receive either a 1 or 2 star rating only. I could further justify the alignment using the object alignment given the presence of a planet and would get up to a 4 star rating but when put to the test, still proved to be inaccurate. Must I always update the TIME and DATE in Earth align when using object or star align? What is your advice on how to solve such a problem? If there is a need to update the firmware, how do I do it?
