Mine did the same thing too. when you plug it into a computer that is running on a flash drive, or you use it nonstop, it wil do this. try resetting the unit. press down on the power/menu button for 15 seconds, and when the pinwheel turns off, wait ten seconds, the turn it on with the HOLD icon in place, and push and hold the record button while it turns on. this will usually bring you to the recovry mode. then you must plug your sandisk onto you rcomputer, and wait for it to tell you when to unplug it. I f this does not work, go to the store that you got it from, and tell them. They will usually happily replace it, but if they don't, then call sandisk, press four for MP3 SUPPORT, and talk to them about it.

I have a sandisk mp3 player, and have had to replace it three times now. It is a wierd mp3 player, but its tottaly awsome to play videos unlike the ipod Nano! I learned on my own, truth be told... Trial and error! lol.

Computer not detecting

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

THEN, do the "Repair" in the Philips Device Manager

The Screen Stays black and the ring turns blue and thats it

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Best of Luck.

Mp3 player wont play songs or anything

Only 2 suggestions here: 1) Make sure your HOLD switch is not enabled. 2) Try to update the firmware If neither of these work, time to send the unit back to Sandisk
