Perhaps there's info on this product -free PDF- at http://www.manualowl.com. Give it a try and see if there's anything listed in Index of manual for Troubleshooting. If not, try a letter to manufacturer. Don't get emotional - just state facts. Start letter how much you love their product and dissatisfied with item's performance, especially NOW that warranty has just expired. Ask if there is a possibility, please, that they can replace product if you pay postage. Get actual cost in WRITING should they agree so no surprises later. Good luck! Jimmy

SOURCE: Need bowl and mixer attachments for Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer

The Kitchen Collection (http://www.kitchencollection.com/Temp_Store_Locator.cfm) which has stores throughout the nation and an Internet storefront carries all of the pieces and parts. Unfortunately, the bowls for an Artisan run $50 and each attachment is about $15, so the price is going to add up quickly.

Another cheaper option is to try eBay. Individual parts are often available there.

I own the 6 QT Stand mixer. Is there a Is there a 4 or 5 qt bowl that works with this mixer?

Kitchenaid does not make a 4 or 5 quart bowl that would fit your 6 quart mixer, but other 3rd party companies do!
You may be in luck.
I haven't seen this bowl in person, but it apparently will fit your 6qt mixer. Here is a link to a page selling the mentioned attachment. It comes in a set, with appropriate wire-whip attachments:

My kitchen aid stand mixer startnig making noise and wobbling. I noticed that the pin attaching the top to the base has been pushed out halfway and I can't push it back. Any solutions?

Remove the bowl, turn it upside down on a towel, look up inside the pedestal. Right in the middle where the hinge pin goes through there is a screw, unscrew it a little, push the hinge pin back to where it belongs and then tighten the screw up tight. Turn mixer up the right way, raise head up, fit bowl & flat paddle. Lower head & turn machine on low, listen for paddle tinging on bowl, if it is touching turn off and raise the head. Look into hinge area from the front, that screw is the head height adjustment. Clockwise to lower paddle in bowl, anti clockwise to raise. You want to lower it until you hear the paddle tinging on the bowl & then raise it enough to clear without tinging. You don't wind the screw in & out huge amounts, 1/4 to 1/2 a turn at a time is plenty.

My Kitchen aid is making a knocking noise from front of machine where mixer is ,will not turn If I put anything doughy in bowl ?

Possibly the fuse gear has failed, that is inside the gearbox and the first gear after the armature. It is made of plastic and designed to fail if the machine is overloaded.

Old classic Kitchen Aid (25+), new KA-TH beater bar and suddenly the bowl is getting knocked off the mount when making cookie dough. Is it the new beater, the base or something else?

Adjust the head height, with the motor raised look in where it hinges. There is a flat head screw there, anti clockwise a bit to raise the head up a bit and stop it banging about on the bowl. Just enough to stop it.

Kitchen Aid stand mixer head doesn't lock down and wobbles

You need to do a couple of strokes with a rat tail file at a 30 degree angle at the top of the slot the head lock engages into. You will need to remove the hinge pin to do this. A Kitchen Aid agent will have done plenty of then so it won't cost an arm and a leg to get it sorted.

Mixer arms shake when kneading bread

You have not supplied a model number and the bowl lift models are not all the same. A couple of items you could check, make sure that the bowl retaining clip that engages with the dimple on the pedestal side of the bowl is not broken. Make sure any bolts/screws holding the pedestal to the base or the pedestal to the motor are tight. Even if you supply a model number I can't think of anything else to look at unless the handle is not lifting the bowl up tight enough. I think on some models the arm holds the carrier up with some pressure which would help stop the wobbles.
