Uploading pictures on PC

When uploading phorographs from camera on to PC it says there are no pictures on the camera although there are over 200 pictures ont he memory card and you can see the pictures on the camera. is this a problem with the camera or the memory. I have finally been able to burn the pictures onto CD but this took many attempts and I am still unable to upload on pc directly from the camera or memory card. this is a canon IXY digital 7.1 MP

This one is easy. Buy a memory card reader and do not use the camera usb cord. A card reader will always be the easiest way to transfer photos from memory stick to PC.

Portable camera for use with Lap Top computer

Hi Geoff,
I'm not sure if I understand your question fully. Would you like to know what camera will be suitable for use with your laptop?
If so, any digital camera which has a USB cable for uploading pictures to your laptop will be fine. Most cameras come with a software bundle which can be loaded on the laptop to make things easier when uploading and organising pictures.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Best wishes,
Graeme

Downloading pictures that are sideways...

All you need is some editing software, click here. If this problem is occuring after uploading to a website, try rotating the picture before uploading so the "problem" will actually correct the picture.

My Pictures glitch

you have more than enough hardware setup to enjoy your pictures... maybe your camera is going to sleep mode during transfer? check your battery and make sure your camera can sustain the time to transfer all your picture from cam to computer.

don't upload directly from camera... save the images in your pc first then upload from your pc.

depending on needs... if you just want to show pictures online, not for printing... i would suggest to create a duplicate and resize the duplicate image so that you have smaller files during upload... this will speed up the speed significantly.

Images not uploaded

Try uploading your pictures into Scanner/Camera wizard on your computer. It will save them into a my pictures folder under my documents. Also make sure that they're not saved on your internal memory while you have a memory card installed, otherwise when you transfer it's only going to transfer the ones off the memory card and not the internal memory.
