Question about Panasonic PV-GS19 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
So, I have a Panasonic PV-GS19 Mini DV Digital Camcorder and I've had it for about 2 1/2 years now. It worked fine until about a year ago it started acting up. It wouldn't play back tapes correctly and it would randomly shut off or say "press the reset button" and beep at me. It was really annoying, until I found out I had to get a head cleaner tape to fix the play back. The play back worked fine, but it still was giving me trouble with staying on in the first place. Now, my tapes won't play back at all...it tried to eat a tape in fact and the head cleaner doesn't work. It says it's playing a tape, but no image or sound appears. Only the blank blue screen with how many minutes are remaining on the tape. How do I fix this? Is it worth it to fix, or do I have to buy a new camera now?
Repairs will cost close to replacement and - it will be older ( needs new heads , probably ); buy a new one , and get a repair quote on the old one - or ebay it , for parts ;

if you want to transfer the video to the computer, I use a firewire cable that I had to buy separately, make sure ur computer has a firewire port. The usb cable is only good for downloading pictures.

Hi, I think the PVGS320 has an external mic input. Plug in a 3.5 mini dummy jack and that should turn off it internal microphone.
