Have tried to check all settings on the tv set, and it appears everything is standard. I thought it was parental codes, but cleared any codes set, by, repeatedly, pushing the LCD On/Off button and working my way through the menus. It still does not help with the problem. It almost seems like it's either a setting or an overheating problem somewhere inside - like on the board.

Unplug it from the wall, wait 2 minutes and plug it back in. if problem still exists, its probably the main pcb.

Welcome to Fixya! My Name is Travis! I have heard this Problem Before on Another Model. Turns out it was the Power Switch in that case. Yours has the Exact same Symptoms. Get that Checked and let me Know so we can go Further or if that is it.

Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. It's possible that it maybe a bad capacitor or transformer on the power supply board. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board.
But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.
I would keep hounding them for the warranty issue. Why do you have to spend a dime if the TV is still under warranty? I would just keep at it.
I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

Your video boards located near the power supply have failed. Unless you are skilled it is not A DIY job as they need to be matched. There are two and both may be involved. The caps can be changed but labour costs dictate it is cheaper to replace the boards than repair them.
