I want ot change my computer in the near future and I have purchased a
Samsung 17" SyncMaster LCD monitor max 1024x1024 75hz. Is it possible to use the monitor with my old computer which has a Matrox
Graphic card MGA 1164SG R3 it is 1024x768x75hz.I know sometimes
the video cards will handle more. I could not out anything maybe you could help me out. I also could use a manual for this monitor. Can you tell where to get one? I don't remember ever asking you anything but I have seen some good answers. Thank C Cedar
You can connect it to your old monitor. As a safe method before connecting the lcd monitor to the old system go to ---- control panel --- display. Double click on it and select settings ----- advanced
Here select - monitor---->monitor settings ---> screen refresh rate. Select a low refresh rate (60 or 70,72). Press apply then ok.
Switch off the pc and remove the old monitor and connect the lcd monitor. It will work.
