How do I repair the color on my Samsung LCD TV. I can still see the picture but 3/4 of the TV goes green/purple/pink and the bottom 1/4 has normal color.

The T con Board or the LCD panel is faulty. Can confirm by replacing the TCON board.

Hello, My Westinghouse ltv32w1 LCD TV is only 2 years old. Sound is fine, picture is not so good: Initially when TV goes on picture is okay, then after 30 minutes, the image breaks up into verticlal...

verticle lines are most likely a bad tube or convergence problem. You will not be able to fix this your self . I suspect a bad convergence ic

Blurry, purple bar across middle of plasma tv screen

Plasma screens are extremely susceptible to getting broken from any impacts to the face of the screen. What you are describing sound very much like distorted or dead pixels. It may not be a fixable issue, you may have to replace the entire unit or live with the purple bar. The reason you don't notice it as much when the screen is dark is because purple is on the darker end of the spectrum, and will be most visible in contrast to lighter ad brighter colors.

The images displayed are purple. I sometimes solved the problem by adjusting the focus. Now it remains purple all othe time.

Hello...The problem you're describing is related to the green lcd and most likely the main board(green channel). If the focusing removes the purple(you have *that* much dust in the unit?) then it *is* dust. You should be able to focus on the dust particles twice--dust on the front of the lcd and dust stuck to the back of it. I'm gonna give you the color table so you know what to look for and what you're seeing. Red LCD=cyan(baby blue) onscreen; Green LCD=violet(purple) onscreen; Blue LCD=yellow onscreen
If you have a lot of dust(and the green lcd usually is the main culprit by the design of the lcd panels around a glass "cube" internally) you might try blowing some air into the unit when it's cool. However, the unit probably needs a good cleaning--remember to clean the dust filter! To properly clean the unit, a trained tech will have to perform the job. The lcd panels are DELICATE and precisely positioned for displaying a sharp image.
