I have a Pioneer PDP-502MXE with a PDA-5001. Smudgy red blobs appear in the top 1/3rd of the screen, but only when the area is predominately blue, and only after the screen has been on for a while; although the length of time till this occurs is shortening. I have tried: 1. adjusting the white balance, this makes very little difference. 2. Playing a white screen for several hours. This seems to have made it start sooner now. So not noticeably worse just happens sooner. 2. Playing a high resolution animation (like finding nemo) this also has had no effect. It does seem to have something to do with the screen warming up, as the phenomena only occurs after it has been running for a while, and then only when the background is blue. The screen has had 9970 hours of run time. And it isnt overheating, as I have interogated it via the integrator menue. I dont think that it is a problem with a burn in that section, as it varies in size every time I switch on, and sometimes it takes an hour or so before it appears. Is it possible for me to make an internal adjustment to the voltage to this section of the screen

I have a similar problem, only with the top turning green/blue, it looks as many as 14 to 16 verticle stripes of color. My power supply was replaced approx 6 months ago and the set has approx 12000 hours on it. Any assitance would be helpful. Thanks
