Sony NW-E107: Player stops responding. Possible memory failure
I've a Sony Walkman Circ NW-E107 1GB.
The player no longer works when trying to listen music
I use SonicStage 4.0 (CP) to transfer ATRAC3 files. It worked flawlessly, but now whenever I press the play button to turn on the device, sometimes it wouldn't power up. I have to remove the battery in order to power it up.
But when it powers up I can't listen to the music, because sometimes the player just stops responding and no keys are functional (have to remove battery). Sometimes the music plays but stops (freeze or loops the sound)
I've tried formatting with the Menu in the player, but the problem still occurs. I can however use it as a removable device in Windows

Hardware issue (needs replacement) most likely, but: Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
