All of a sudden, the picture is separating on left half of screen. Right half is oky. The picture shows red, blue and yellow separate images.
Any ideas on how to fix or what problem is.

All of a sudden, the picture is separating on top half of screen and bottom half of screen. The picture shows also not stable and no color. I have checked the lamp bulbs are OK. Any ideas on how to fix or what problem is.
This sounds like a convergence problem. This is a common problem that is usually fixed 98% of the time by re-placing the STK392-020 ic or STK392-110, and check the fuse devices on the covergence PCB. I'm sure the actual parts numbers depend on the peticular brand. Good Luck!

Can be 1 of 2 things. 1st the red tube just needs the voltage to it turned down. In the front of TV (you have to remove the lower front half of TV to access it) is a plastic square with 6 knobs. The from left to right top knobs control focus for blue, green red. The bottom knobs control voltage to each tube in same order (so lower right knob for red) turn SLOWLY to left to reduce voltage until excessive red and lines go away. If you over turn left or right set will turn off. If that does not fix it or if lines reappear then option 2 is that red picture tube is failing outright and needs replacement.
From what you say it sounds like the Convergence IC's have failed. Part number 267P150010, STK392-570, replace both IC's. They are on the middle board secured to a large heat sink. Good Luck, big IRISH.
Sounds like the green is out of focus.
If the focus control for the green does not control it enough to make the width the same as the red, then, the lens on top of the green can be adjusted to focus that tube.
On the lens, there is a wing nut on a screw to loosen it and move the lens left or right a bit to help with the focus.
Hope this helps.
