Sony cdx r3300 Won't play...simply scrolls a message

When I turn the car on, the display scrolls the message "sony cd receiver high power amp etc....

I have removed the face plate and hit the reset button. I have hit every conceivable combination of buttons on the face. No radio...

If I insert a cd, it will play, but at a low volume level. I have no volume control, nor any other cd control (skip / pause etc)
I am ready to pull the unit and buy a used unit that will match the wiring harness.

suggestions??

I have a sony cdx-gt45ip wen playing a cd or using the tuner my sub works but wen using the aux all bas dissaperes, the sub still has power why is this happening ?

use the blue/white wire (amplifier remote turn on) to turn the amp on instead of the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on). the blue wire turns off when leaving tuner mode.

Poor sound

Sit low Bass @+3 / Mid@ 0 / Hi+10
Add SubWoofer with separate Amp and use low pass filter @78hz cuttoff.
It's a cheap unit -don't expect High Fidelity & a warm EQ<
