Question about Toshiba 32AF42 32" TV
The remote don't work anymore. I've tried recoding them and fresh batteries but no luck
Check the infrared emission from the remote control first. If it is found OK, repalce the infrared sensor inside your tV.

its batter in a shop were spares can be found. in side a tv there is a photo senser which converts light into electrical signals.
let the photo diode be tested
and also the remote you have on other toshiba sets to confirm, if remotes are a problem or not.
remotes have codes to change to another remote, 060, 019, 014, 052, 059, 075.

check out if the infrared is emited from your remote control, if it is NOT, then there could be problem with your infrared receiver embedded in the tv set.
to see this infrared beam, you need to read the article posted at http://www.unique-stuff.co.cc/fixing_remote_control_check_infrared.html

SOURCE: Toshiba 32A43 - suddenly stopped
this kind of problem is usely comming from one of the front panel button if so the set will show the menu intermitently and no action from the remote. What i use to do i replace
all of the tack switches 6or 7 but i would suggest to consult your local tv repair shop if
you do not have some kind of experience.
