Question about Proview HX303 30 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
I have a Proview RX-326. It is a 32" LCD that sometimes has a 6" wide vertical red line and a lighter, pink, 3" wide vertical line about a 1/3 of the way from the edge. It is completely random when the problem happens. Usually when I am changing a channel, the next channel will show this red. I can still see all of the picture, just not in the right color in this area. Could this be a transistor or lamp problem? Thank you.
If the sound is working, I doubt the power supply is at fault. You can check with a simple voltmeter - red is positive, black negative - there should be 24VDC. There is an on-board regulator to drop the voltage for the CPU, etc, . THere is a green LED on the main board, so even if you don't have a Voltmeter, there is a visual indication that the power supply is somewhat functional.
I found a poor connection from the 24V power supply over to the inverter boards. I re-crimped the IDC connectors to the 24V supply and all was happy-town.
