Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Dropped my phone!

I have dropped my Razr a few times and this last time it turned off, then the screen went black , then white, then it flashed this icon i had never seen before next to the reception meter. It stopped but i need to know what that meant. Also it has been hanging up on its own around 1 minute and 40 seconds on some calls, is there a way to fix this?

Blank screen

Seriously, bang the phone sideways on a desk, it works! Do it on each side 2 or 3 times, then back again. Don't slam it down, but bang it a couple times I'm not kidding at all

White screen`

the white and black screen issue on the Razr V3xx can be a bad LCD. If the LCD is good then the issue is on the main board. The most common failure is broken contacts on FL6505 and FL6504. resoldering might hold up for a while but replacement is the best option.

the side view clearly shows the damage to the filter. this is only visible after the solder is removed.
