Question about JVC CH-X1100RF 12-Disc CD Changer

1 Answer

JVC CH-X1100RF I have had this unit for roughly 3yrs. Never had a problem until now. The problem is the sound of the player varies from cd player to radio. Whenever I go over a bump the sound switches from left to right. It also switches from front to back when it switches from right to left. So basically when the left side works the right side is "static-like" or the speakers sound like they are blown and does the same thing with the right side as well. So I'm driving down the street full sound and then here comes a pothole and bam no sound just static type music. Help!!! I'm an music addictand going through withdrawal.

Look for a loose connector on the back of the radio. If it is not fully seated in the radio, all sorts of goofy problems happen.

Nope. Its getting to the end of its days. I'm guessing by your description you tend to play your music loudly like I do. Well when you do that it causes vibration. Vibration+electronics=Short life span.

I have round shaped keys that may belong to a JVC changer which I sold. Does this sound familiar? Are they perhaps used to put the changer together? D.

These are the keys used for pulling out the set from the in dash mountings. hence is you have sold the carrs it will be useful for theparty to remove the set from the dash. However this is available with most of the service centres. This will not have any use to you but for any JVC car audio customer. Hope you find the buyer. Good day

Make sure the cds are the right way up.
Try listening to the cd mech to determine if the cds are being loaded.
If the mech is going through the motions then the problem could be the lens is dirty, the laser has failed or the spin motor is faulty.
if there is no sound of the cds being loaded, it could be a power supply problem. Try a reset or just unplug the changer then re connect it.
