How can I get the fax and copy to print clearly?

The machine will print and copy, but it will miss some areas of the material printing and it will have missing ink in those areas. I just put a new ink in the machine, after taking another new ink cartridge out thinking it was the ink. I cleaned the cartridge through the machine I ran test and still missing spots when printing and copying.

Still sounds like a bad ink cartridge, try cleaning the bottom of the cartridge with a Kleenex and soapy water. Dry it off real good.

Look where the cartridge sits and clean the same way.

Ink jets are dead technology.

How do i retreive and receive faxes? My machine has recieved material in memory, yet when i try to print them, the alarm rings after first page and display reads "CHECK PAGE SIZE, press OK" It will re

If you are able to print normally from this model, despite the 'stuck' faxes, then it could be that you have been sent a document that is not the same size as that in your tray. Try cutting A4, if that is what you have, down to 'legal' and see if will move on to next page. If this works, cut some more and print job till finished.
If the above makes no difference, you may have to do a memory reset to clear a corrupt fax record. Caution! this would clear all faxes queued in your machine.

Print is not clear on sides of copy

Do you mean they are light on the sides? If yes remove drum/toner unit and clean the laser glass inside the machine. It's located on the inside top panel. It's just a glass that covers the laser area, usually dust will built up on the edges.

Sent faxes not printing clear

Per Brother's User manual,

Clean the machine’s interior and the primary
corona wire of the toner cartridge This is a common cause for your printing/copying problem. This should solve your issue. Best of luck.

All of a sudden, faxes stop coming out and the window says something to the effect...''Place US Paper in Upper Tray''. If I turn the machine on and off, the display clears and faxes that are in memory...

The fax machine is trying to print fax recieved copies on the bypass feeder.
Check up the setup menu on the control console.
Fine fax recieve.
You should find a selection for fax recieved in which paper tray.
Check this area, any that have the bypass feeder, de-select it.
Make selections for 8 1/2 x 11 paper in tray one.

Vertical lines

1st print a report, can you see the lines? Then either the drum is faulty or the laser scanner is. If the lines are not present when printing a report, make a copy and see then if the lines appear. If so, the scanner is faulty. Try cleaning the glass with glass cleaner. However, blank lines mean that bits are missing from the scanner itself and the scanner will need to be replaced.

Solid Blank Line

If it's blank, is this on what you send/recieve?

Also if you print something like a status sheet, is it missing on those too? If so, your print head needs replacing.

If its on copies/sents you need to clean the scanner head.

Black pages when making a copy or printing something

Have you tried both drum and toner supplies? cause it sounds like a drum fault, if you have tried a new drum and toner, and it is doing it when printing internal reports, receiving fax's and copying then you have a tecnical issue to do with charge and this would likely render machine unecomical to repair (unless you can find a bad contact with drum on machine). If it receives faxs clearly but copys black then it is different issue (ie optics).

Received fax's are not printing. Unit prints confermations and is working as a printer but recieved fax's just park in memory and will not print.

TYPICALLY A FAX MACHINE WILL RECEIVE MESSAGE IN MEMORY WHEN NO PAPER OR TONER/INK FINISHED INDICATION IS THERE, REPLENISH THESE SUPPLIES WITH GENUINE ONES AND FAX WILL START PRINTING. IF PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED , PLEASE TRY TO CLEAR THE SETTING FOR MEMORY RECEIVING, IF STILL NOT SOLVED TRY BRINGING THE MACHINBE TO FACTROY SET SETTING BY CLEARING THE MEMORY. HAPPY FAXING OMNIPRESENT
