Question about Samsung SP-P4251 42 in. Plasma EDTV

All I get is snow.

Hello, I'm hoping you can help me. I have a Samsung Plasma, model # sp-p4251 it all of sudden stopped having a picture, and all I can see is snow. I have disconnected the Tivo, in the hopes that it was because of it, but to no avail. Currently it is just hooked up to the cable, and still no picture. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a tuner problem on the main board, you can take the back off and make sure that the tuners are plugged in good, alot of problems with tuners are the grounds get cold solder

I have sound on my samsung sp-p4251 EDtv but no video

Most likely the 22Uf 450v Capacitor has went out. It's on the Main Power Board. It's a decent sized cap, but not a huge one. Take to a repair shop if u want, or take the back off, plug in your hair-dryer & heat up that cap. Should have picture within 10-20 seconds of it getting hot. If it solves your problem, just find / buy that cap & solder it on. (Or have someone who can) Total parts approx-$20 (Including Soldering gun/iron)

The capacitor is about $3.

SAMSUNG SP-P4251 DISTORTED PICTURE AND THEN SCREEN GOES BLUE

Wow same here but mine is red I know its because of the plasma bulb is wearing out and for my fix is $1000 but I didn't do want to go on so I tried to change the color settings and tried RGB to all 0 and it became fine. Well at least you have a cool blue screen, mine is red.
