Many programs are not yet compatible with IE7. As an ISP we are not recommending people to upgrade to this version yet. I have IE7 on my system and know that it is not compatible with many websites and that I have various other problems because of the installation. Personally, I am going to remove it from my system for now.

Hi after downgrading ie8 to ie6 and upgrading ie6 to ie7, internet explorer fails to open. pls help solve

Download the installer for whatever version of IE you would like to use to your desktop. Next go into the control panel and then to add and remove programs. Uninstall the current version of IE then reboot and reinstall IE from the installer on your desktop.

IE 7

Yes you can upgrade your Internet Explorer to IE7 (assuming you have IE6 right now)

You can download and install IE7 from Windows updates or go to the Windows Support Site to download it at http://support.microsoft.com

Only upgrade to IE7. Do not download and install IE8 Beta. It is still in testing. IE7 will not cause any problem with your HP Pavilion.

Compaq Presario R3150US shuts down with IE7, cpu usage goes up

Have you inatalled the latest service pack before you upgraded to IE7?
If not, suggest you un-install IE7, install the service pack, reboot computer and then upgrade to IE7.
If IE7 causes you problems the revert back to IE6.

Dell 922 printer all in one

I have a Dell 942, and I also ran into problems scanning. Basically, the Dell "All In One Center" refused to open, and when the printer generates a scan, it tries to send it to that application. What worked for me was uninstalling Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and 8. Once I was back to IE6, my Dell printer functioned normally. Upgrading to IE7 immediately "broke" it again.
I discovered this after running a repair installation of Windows (a recommended action any time you start experiencing weird problems). I did not have to format my hard drive or lose any data, although some applications had to be reinstalled or re-patched afterward. But the repair install took me back to IE6, and magically, my printer suddenly worked again! When I went to the Microsoft Update site and upgraded to IE7, poof! Dell AIO Center would no longer open, and I couldn't scan.
If this solution is helpful to you, please rate it.
Thank you,
~~Cheryl

Internet explorer canot display web page? ---winxp pro/ desktop computor

I found lots of problem with Ie7,what I personal do is
1.I have a second option for my Browser, that is I install mozilla
firefox.I use it for my default browser. You can download it here
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/

2.I downgrade my IE7 to IE6 by going to ADD/Remove program
and uninstall IE7.After that your IE7 will become IE6
** Windows default is IE6,if you uninstall IE7,your system will become IE6 Automatically.

Best is to try the first step,I think this will help to solve your problem.
Takecare.

Hotspot connection problems

well you can't have IE6 and IE7 installed on the same computer at the same time, so I am guessing you are using 2 separate computers. More then likely it is a program with the internet settings of your computer rather then IE7.

try this app on the system with connectivity issues

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winsockxpfix.html

just run it and click fix, this will flush all your internet settings and fixes about 85% of connectivity problems

if that doesn't work try reinstalling your wireless adapter, by removing the drive then reinstalling it.

if you are still having issues try scanning your system for spyware and adware

while IE7 handles web pages and scripts differently it still uses the same HTTP protocol that IE6 does, therefore there is no reason it wouldn't work when IE6 does.

Also in the future please post your Operating system to help diagnose the problem better.
