SOURCE: weed eater wont start, put straight gas in it.

if you didn't mix any oil with the fuel, you probally burnt the piston and cylinder up.the only to find out if you did is to pull the muffler off and look inside the cylinder and see if there are any scoring on the piston.if there is you need to replace the piston and cylinder assembly.most cost $100.00 or more.usually they are not worth repairing.i know this is not good news but i hope this helped, let me know.................

SOURCE: Homelite 26vt Mighty Lite carb settings

Setting up the carb right on a trimmer is like setting one up on an RC gas operated car. It takes someone with a good year, and a lot of experience doing it. If youre new at it,youre not just going to be able to get it tuned, well you could,if you want to spend a few hours. Just take it to someone who does it,they wont charge you much and it will save you a lot of aggrevation.

A friend of mine gave me a zr series ,625cdv homelite weed eater and I can't figure out how to adjust the carb. Bought a new primer bulb it crank and run for a little bit but I have to idle it high

Screw in the HIGH and LOW needle valves. Then turn each one out 1 full turn, That should be a good starting point.
After engine is running Run engine at Full throttle. Loosen HIGH screw until the engines RPM slows a bit. When that happens Turn screw back in until it revs high and then just starts to slow again. You do not want the engine to run at it's highest RPM or it's not getting enough Lubrication It need to run Rich, that's why you screw the screw in a bit after the engine has reached it's highest RPM. Let it idle down . Then Accelerate hard, if it hesitates, loosen or tighten the LOW until it accelerates quickly with no hesitation.

How do i adjust my idle crew

The idle screw isn't as important as the low/high setting on the carb. Start with one turn out on both low and high side settings.

Homelite d725cd

not sure what you're trying to accomplish but the idle screw and low speed mixture screw work together. most 2 cycle trimmers idle happy at 3k rpm's... just before clutch engagement

Homelite weed trimmer bogs down and smothers out quits running

This could be a number of things. Clogged air filter/fuel filter/carburetor/fuel tank lid breather hole, cracked fuel line or primer bulb, or clogged spark arrestor in muffler. Here's some links that will help to change the bulb, fuel cap, fuel lines, rebuild carb, replace spark arrestor, and troubleshoot.

THE FS 46C WEEDEATER WILL IDLE JUST FINE, BUT WILL NOT REV UP WHEN PULLING ON THE TRIGGER. THE THROTTLE CABLE IS NOT DISCONNECTED AND THE CARB IS CLEAN. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

easy... if the carb adjustments are still factory set the you just need to replace the muffler screen or also called a spark arrester.it covers the muffler exit....

What are the carberator settings for a homelite bandit sx-135 weed eater?

If it's a Zama 2-stroke carb...the reference settings for the high and low speed needle jets are... turn them all the way in till they are snug and them bring them back out about 1 1/2 turns. (one and a half ) That is a good starting point for their carbs and should get it to start so fine tuning can be done.
