PCI Simple Communication Controller is a 56k PCI Modem, to know which exactly you have, use Unknown Device Identifier ( Download Here for free ), that will tell your the Model and Manufacturer, then Google for the drivers.
how to know the modems name? 1. open the case and look for any detail on it..
if you cant open the case,, or you dont want to open it,,...
2. the modem should be plugged in to the PCI slot.... >use a software to which will help you distinguish your modem.,,. such as SISoft sandra download it for free here http://www.sisoftware.net/ >install the software... >just get your self oriented with the software.. its very easy to use...
> ofter knowing the model or manufacturer of your modem or any hardware, try searching it on the web....
i may help you search for it if you posted the model/manufacturer of your modem..
that is a problem with your DIAL-up modem which is the old style, use your phone and dialin type of internet connection. so basically if you're on high speed you dont really need it, you can right click and disable. if the modem is in a desktop in a pci slot, you can actually just remove it all together. code 10 means the device wont start either due to hardware failure or bad drivers...but again, its a dialup modem and oyu're on highspeed so you dont even need it.
The reason for these 2 big question marks is that Windows device drivers for the sound card & modem are not installed. If you don't have the drivers for these 2 cards, let me now the make & model, & I can find them for you.
If it has a pci slot modem card then you would go to the modem card manufacturer's website to download the driver. You'll need to know the manufacturer & model # of your card to do this. Once on the website you will click the support link, lookup your card model #, & then download & install the proper drivers for the operating system you are running. Hope this helps.
The drivers are supplied with the modem when you buy it. If you didn't buy the modem new or lost the driver disc, you can usually find drivers online. Try a Google search for "xxxxxx drivers" (replace the xxxxxx with your modem model number) and you should find lots of places to download them. Or provide the model number here and we'll see what we can find.
