Try turning down the volume, small speakers in general can't handle a lot, if you still have trouble, the speakers may need to be replaced or the audio output chip. Hook external speakers to see if that will cure it, if no change! replace the ic chip.

SOURCE: Lenovo S series ideapad will find my dlink router no network addr

Generally if you can see the D-Link then everything is trying to talk. Would have to know if the d-link is new out of the box or is part of an existing setup. If the d-link has been part of the network I would suggest that you don't have the security settings correct. If you right click on the network icon and look at the send received numbers. If received is zero then your problem is you don't have the security key (WEP or other type)) setup. If you are getting recieved numbers you may not have the DHCP setup in the d-link. DHCP assigns the numbers to the computer but the d-link has to have this turned on in some models others it is by default.

If both your laptop and dlink are not new and specifically about a year old then I would also suspect that the dlink has died or is dieing on you. If you have had periods of disconnects or slow jerky network acess then these are signs of the dlink having problems. The wireless part tends to go after a year or so while the wired portion probably still works. When they go they are annoying as they work then they won't and so on.

That is you next step to try is to plug in your laptop direct to the wired connection on the dlink to test if the problem is the wifi portion of the dlink. If it connects your problem is the wifi and you probably will have to replace the unit. Next plug it into the cable modem and see if the problem was in the dlink itself.

SOURCE: my subwoofer sound is distorted

whatever player are you using must be having Equalizer in it...try adjusting that [keep that down to a minimum]. Check the program for your audio device...some programs have sound options like jazz, rock, pop these are predefined equalizer changing these could also help. Try using a different media player like VLC [it's free to download on the web] Try uninstalling the audio driver and then reinstalling the driver. It is quite possible that your speaker doesn't match with the Laptop's amplifier or the speaker is gone kaput [a coil problem or something needs repair...but do not repair rather buy a good speaker coz repairing loses the quality].

SOURCE: How to fix sounds on Lenovo IdeaPad Y530

Some model ThinkPads have different network, video and audio drivers and unless you know exactly which one is installed in your ThinkPad, you need to download all the drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver.
When you download the drivers, write down the device driver and it’s file name so you have a record of which driver you are installing and which directory the unzipped files are located on your hard drive.
Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows XP or Vista device drivers for your model computer, Use this link: -
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/product.do?template=%2Fproductselection%2Flandingpages%2FbrowseByProductLandingPage.vm&sitestyle=lenovo&brandind=10&validate=true
You can download the various drivers and then you click on and run the various driver files, they will then unzip and expand into a sub folder on C:\drivers Then install the various drivers from this folder (run the set-up file).

SOURCE: IdeaPad S10e Netbook: CANT OPEN LENOVO ONE KEY RECOVERY UPON START...

Make sure you did it correctly. Computer should be OFF when doing the one key recovery. Turn off the computer then press the small button right beside the power button. Your computer should automatically turned on and you will go straight to one key recovery software. If this will not happen, then the one key recovery is destroyed. We need to re-image your Harddrive to have that one key recovery software back to you computer. You may call Lenovo technical support department for further assistance on how you are going to send your laptop to our depot department.

No sound from my speakers, only from earphone jack

You must have some needed materials: driver and application recovery CDs and updated sound driver software.
Step 1: Check your sound card. Click "Start", than "Control Panel", and then "System" and "Hardware" and navigate to "Device Manager". Double click "Sound, Video and Game Controller". If Sound Card have been listed in this page, then you system already have sound card installed. If not, please check the enclosed information of your Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 to see if you should installed a sound card. If sound card is a must, then you should install a sound card. Note: if you have already installed sound card but not be listed in "Sound, Video and Game Controller", then go to "Other Devices" to check the list. Portable computer normally have no card sound because they have integrated sound management system.
Step 2: Take a look at all the output devices to see if they have been turned on and plugged in. The three jacks in following picture are for Microphone, input and output respectively. Check whether your output device have been put on mute or not. Check volume control setting. Go to "Start" "All Programs", "Accessories", "Entertainment", and "Volume Control" or just click speaker icon to set your volume.

Step 3: If the sound is audible but suddenly lost then you should implement system restore. Go to "Start" bottom, "All Programs" button, "Accessories" button, "System tools" and then "System Restore" and then go to System Restore Wizard.
Step 4: Sometimes you need to delete and reinstall sound driver. Click on the "Start" button, then the "Control Panel" and "System". What follows is the "Hardware", the "Device Manager" and "Sound", "Video" and "Game Controllers". Click on Sound device and then delete it. Click OK when they are a window prompt and say something like whether or not to continue the deletion. Delete all sound devices except Legacy Audio Drivers and the Audio Codec. Go to official website of your Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 and find out the updated sound driver for your sound card and download it. Then restart your Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 and reinstall the sound driver.
Now, you can have your sound out. Absolutely, sometimes sound problem may caused by certain hardware. So you can check information from your hardware supplier to see information about problems with your specific model of computer or sound card.

Lenovo z570 black screen at start up

You may like to check the Lenovo (IBM) page on screen diagnostics:
http://mobilesupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ideapad-z-series-laptops/ideapad-z570/documents/HT062642?tabName=Solutions

I searched the internet on "no display on laptop" which gave some informative results, but as only you know all the details of what is wrong only you can decide what is relevant.
I found the following interesting, but there are many more:
1. http://www.windowsbbs.com/pc-hardware/42349-laptop-no-display-screen.html
2. https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AwrBTzGx1V5To3QA5QxLBQx.;_ylu=X3oDMTE0ZXVrMTVyBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMQRjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkA1FJVUswMV85Mg--?qid=20090409183121AACuZ46
3. http://www.ehow.com/way_5272815_laptop-display-screen-problems.html (on the right hand side of this article there are links toother articles about laptop screen problems)

Does your computer beep more than usual when you turn it on ? Tis may be a sign that components are loose or have come out, or there is some fault which must be looked up.

To find out if it's your screen, connect an external monitor via the VGA port on the side of your computer Press the function button to select the external screen, or both, and if you get a display on the external monitor it's your screen or components associated with it, for example the 'inverter' or the CCFL if your computer has one. It may be that the display has become disconnected from the computer (there is often a ribbon connector). It may even be the graphics/video hardware on your mainboard. If it's the screen, you can replace it: detailed instructions for a similar model are here
http://www.insidemylaptop.com/how-to-replace-lcd-screen-on-lenovo-ideapad-z575-laptop/

If this is case you need to disassemble your computer and find out what is wrong with screen. The manuals for your computer can be found here
http://mobilesupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ideapad-z-series-laptops/ideapad-z570

But you rea;;y need to find out what is wrong before you can even attempt to fix it. If you are not able/knowledgable enough to dissemble your computer, DON'T.

Lenovo Ideapad z500 produces annoying clicking sound every 1 second, sometimes this happens and stops, then starts again, i have no clue what's causing it.The sound comes from the far left side of the...

Sounds like debris in your cooling fan. Try vacuuming the open grills and see if the click goes away. This is usually caused by something sucked into the fan and clicking, like clothespinning playing cards to your bicycle spokes to make a motor sound as a kid. Since the fan is the only moving part in a laptop this is with 99% certainty the problem and the only way to fix it is to remove the offending debris.

Suddenly there is no sound in the speaker but headphone works fine..laptop is Lenovo B575

If the head phone jack works its more likely to be the problem, if you use the headphone jack a lot the connections inside it can get worn or bent out of shape--engaging the headphone jack should shut the speakers in the unit off.

Other possible reason is a bad speaker or connections.
