One day Iwas watching the ppv movie and suddenly I heard a clicking sound from my tv and shutdown no display or anything, just flashing red "LED". I opened the cover and found that the fusible resistor was open. I replaced it 3x and 3x blew up. Any idea where the problem is?
Hey...glad im not the only one in this mess....thank god i have an electronics background as i my offer some help. i found that Q601/Q602 were shorted, replaced with NTE2582 transistors, but also there is another fusible resistor located next ti the transformer on the powersupply board(board G i believe)same as the other(1/4-1/2 watt .1-.15 omhs)well i thought all was well until i pluged it in and both fusible resistors and the transistors blew right away....led me to the H-OUT transistor, right next to the flyback, on the main board...sure enough it was shorted as well. that part is 2SC5148(not the NTE part #), , and will put it in after work tommorow...looks good so far and will, even with my mistake will cost several hundred dollars less than taking it to a tv shop...and thousands less that the plasma screen the wife wants....this 32inch has been good to me for 9 years, and im going to help it along for another if possible. you cant email me at [email protected] if youd like.....thanks and good luck
