Tv works good but take 4 or 5 trys to turn on with manual button, open back and couldn't find any bulge cap, every thing looks good.
Hi,hard to push bottons on TV manual controls usually happens because they are not use for a long time carbon accumulates inside the switches.You can just use a contact cleaner spray (windex) just spay it directly to the button and press repeatedly until dry..good luck1

We had bought the extended warranty, so we took it back and got a new TV of a different brand. We had to pay the difference, but it was worth it. The warranty even carried over to the new TV.

It sounds like you have tried everything I have been able to find on the web......Have you Registered your TV with Polaroid yet? Because if you haven?t you can make up the few months your past on the warrantee.....I would go and Register and then call on the warrantee.....it?s a bit fishy but it works...In my opinion they should just warrantee it for you. You will have to have the set checked by someone to confirm this,
but most likely there is a problem with the TVs internal power supply.

although initialy I was able to operate tv with sky remote, after power cut none of the codes in my freesat information pack would reconnect to tv. On the forum page one of the emails posted said they had been given the code 0527, it hadn't worked for them but it worked for me. My sky remote now operates tv. It does have an irritating habit of always switching to scart 2 at first instead of scart 1where I have freesat, I then have to use the the remote to switch to scart 1 before I can proceed any further.
I am happy enough though, I was pulling my hair out before I found your Website.

hi, the button is not hard to push, if you hold button in you hear a click, then push button again tv will come on and work good, then remote will work in all area's including turning tv off. But then remote will not turn tv back on,act like the ir doen't work till the tv is on.
resolder the components on the power supply board the output voltage of the power supply is not stable pull out also all suspected capacitor from the board examine for any leaking substance from it replace if you found any.
I don't have any 5v stby till i hit pwr button, no stby light at all, after i hit the pwr button i have 5v stby, then hit button again tv will come on using pwr button. Remote will not turn on anything. Will work good after tv is up and running. Help ?????
