Just wanted to add, i use this screen as a secondary screen. Only way to make it work is to wait like 15 min then press the source button 10-20 times untill it turns on. Power led still blinks when its black screen. But im still able to turn it on after some time.

Usually the capacitors are 1500uF/25V and 470uF/25V, but I suggest to use 35V capacitors. This will make your power supply to last forever. Also, you better open the monitor and see by yourself what kind are the capacitors. Mind the polarity or the capacitors will blow out with lot of smoke. You can buy them from local parts store like Conrad.com or online.

SOURCE: Samsung 226BW 22" LCD has gotten worse!

As stated in your previous post, this can be fixed with some minor electrical and soldering knowledge. If you do not have the knowledge yourself, you will have to find someone to do it for you. The parts wont be expensive, but I do not know what your local repair shop would charge you for the labor.

Nothing else you can do with the exception of buying a new one :-(

SOURCE: Monitor darkens significantly when viewing some

The monitor might be on 'dynamic contrast'. Press menu on the remote control and does it say that 'magic bright' is on dynamic contrast?
If so, change it to something else and this may solve your problem.

Hope this helps!

You need to replace the capacitors in a set, http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/SAMSUNG/Samsung%20920NW/
Bad cap can look normal but can have high ESR.
I hope you monitor does not have bad lamp assemblies either.
You need to verify if you are getting 16~18vdc feeding the inverter circuits and 5vdc feeding the logic board. You will use car lamp for testing the 12~18vdc power supply section, 6v lamp for 5vdc power supply checking.

I have problem with my monitor LCD 931 BW. after turn on the monitor, the monitor display windows but after 4 5 seconds, the monitor will black.but the power at the button is turn on, whats the problem...

You need to try it with another PC first to make sure it is not PC problem, most failures in monitors are due to bad caps as you can see the failed SAMSUNG albums.
Please read my guide and look at the albums so you will have more understanding if it turns out to be the monitor problem.

I have a samsung syncmaster 204bw and sometimes the monitor flashes black for a couple seconds and then comes back on. it will do it and then wont for awhile.

This is an early warning that the inverter board is failing, "powers the back lights behind the screen" eventually it will go. The board must be replaced or repaired.

Wont turn on. turns on for a second then turns off

Look for bad caps first.
If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed SAMSUNG monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.
