Where is the audio output on my aspire 4540

I don't appear to be getting any output from what I think is the output jack port. Also the internal speakers have not worked since I bought and connected some external digital speakers.

I sorted out the internal speakers in control panel but made no progress with the audio output jack.

The digital speakers have a USB input and that is working fine. The audio port is where you would connect headphones which incidently I have and they do not work either.

How do I connect TV-ear 3.0 to a sceptre 23 bv-naga TV. I don't know were the audio out port is?

There are two plugs, a white and a red. Red is for Right, and white is Left. If you have a 3.5" stereo jack on your TV ear, then you'll need to find and adapter, as your television does not have a 3.5" output jack.

I recently bought a toshiba 40E210 lcd i just would like to ask if there is an additional audio output aside from the digital optical audio output?

Hi well NO I don't think that this unit has any other audio outputs? or "Monitor" as they are called, simply check the rear of the unit and the manual and see if there is any external outputs or "Monitor" Audio out, if there is it will be via Red & White RCA Jacks, these can be used to output to speakers or surround sound decoder. However this shouldn't be a problem as if you simply want to use this output, just obtain a Optical to standard audio output converter, and then you will be able to use this output in the regular way. And hook up to speakers or surround sound decoders as well. If you son;t have a manual, i suggest it will be a good idea to obtain one, approach the manufacturer or go to the website and look for one all info about the set will be in there.

GE audio/video switch AV93294 has what appears to be a adapter port on front , no voltage given. Says audio output. Please explain

As the label says, it's an audio output. The audio from whichever source you have selected appears at that jack so you can plug in something like a pair of headphones or the cable to a wireless headphone transmitter. If you don't have anything to connect there, don't worry about it. It's a convenience, but you don't need to use it.

I have a set of T 912 wireless headphones. I am unable to set them up on the TV. I am using the white and red cables from the base station to the TV audio red and white. Do you have any instructions on...

The audio jacks on the TV are most likely inputs, not outputs. They're meant to take the audio signal from something like a DVD player, along with the video input on another jack, so you can play it through the TV. There isn't an audio signal coming out from those jacks, and if you connect your headphone transmitter to them all you'll get is silence. Almost all sets now have at least one set of AV inputs, but most don't give you outputs. The manufacturers figure the TV is just a display device, and not a signal source.

Unfortunately, there isn't any easy way to connect your wireless headphones if the TV doesn't have audio output jacks or a headphone connector. If you're comfortable with soldering and willing to do some modification to your TV, it's possible to add a headphone jack. Most people don't want to start tinkering with their sets, though.

If you're using your TV on a cable system without a converter box and the cable hooks right to the set, you're out of luck unless you're willing to add a headphone jack as I mentioned before. But if you have a cable converter box, or you're using a satellite receiver or other set-top box, you can use your headphones with those. These devices typically have direct audio and video outputs available on the rear panel, and you can use that audio output to feed the headphone transmitter.

What most people do these days is use a home theater receiver along with the TV. All sources (the cable box, DVD player, video game console, audio CD player, etc.) connect to the receiver, and the receiver's audio and video outputs go to the corresponding input jacks on the TV. This way, the TV is just the end of the line. The receiver also would provide an output for the wireless headphone transmitter. This system offers some advantages. You'll be able to connect the proper speakers to enjoy surround sound when not using headphones. And you'll be able to use your wireless headphones with the tuner and audio sources like music CDs when not watching TV.

Hi,
Based on the information you have provided, it seems that the issue might be with the Audio Output Jack.
Usually some Computers have an additional Audio Jack on the CPU.
If you have such an option you can try connecting the Speakers and Headphone to that Audio Port and check.
If you do not have an additional Audio port, then it is confirmed that the issue is with Audio Output Port.
It is recommended to replace the Sound Card. You can also check with your favorite Computer Retailer, if only the Audio Output Port can be replaced.
Please let me know if you have further questions or need any assistance.

No audio from docking station PA3314U-1PRP. Laptop itself (Tecra M5) outputs audio normally. All other outputs from the docking station work normally. How do I get audio to work through the docking...

Hi there,
you should try plugging from the output port of the laptop to the input port of the docking station, remember the source is coming from your laptop going to the docking station.
Now for the microphone once you have the settings right the line in jack should work properly.
Hope this helps!

My garmin 660 won't transmit audio through speakers or fm transmit. I go to audio output and it says that "Audio output can not be changed when using headphones" I can use it with headphones...

You have a problem with the headphone jack. Please see this link and read the section about BROKEN HEADPHONE JACK

http://www.sharc.net/gps_audio_repair.htm

Because there is a broken connection, your Nuvi thinks there are headphones connected at all times, so you wont be allowed to change the sound options. I've repaired this problem many times. Don't try it yourself, you risk damaging your Nuvi beyond repair.

I have external speakers / woofers with amp ..what i nedd is to connect those with my Sony bravia LCD TV.. i mean i need the audio output from the TV which will connect with the external speakers .. if...

I do not want to sound patronizing, but I have no idea how much you know about wiring ... so I'm probably going to over-explain everything. Hopefully it won't read like stereo instructions ... ha ha ha
Depending on your TV, theremight be a door covering the wire access .. or there might be audio outputs on the front of your TV ... but these are more likely to be inputs for game consoles and other things. You should have a red and a white jack in the back of your TV marked "Audio Out" ... those are left and right audio outputs from your TV. Use RCA cables from Radio Shack or wherever and connect that to your amp left and right audio inputs -- the RCA jacks should be the same color as the wire connecting them, which makes it easier to trace wires later. Generally, the amp should have a red and a white RCA jack as well .. make sure they match your wires , too ... or you'll end up hearing things in reverse. You should find sterio wire inputs on the back of your amp -- if your speakers have the wire connected, set them up and then plug them into the appropriate jacks. There shoud be some sort of lever on the side of each of thee jacks, push it open and insert the wires. Some of these are spring-loaded so you might have to keep your finger on it to hold it open. Just put a bare cord from the speaker into it, and make sure the lever closes again, securing the wire. Your amp should have the left and right speaker outputs, subwoffer output, and everything labeled, but you'll probably need a lot of light on it to see it (usually it is just a recessed or relief letter L and R for the left and right speakers.
I am not exactly well off, so most of the electronics I have are a bit old. You might only have a different audio output from your television, in which case I would recommend speaking with someone at Radio Shack -- they tend to know a lot about wiring electronics together (more than at Best Buy or other big-box stores) or if you don't have one of those around, find a local electronics store, or a pawn shop ... people who work in these types of places usually enjoy the challenge of putting a round plug into a square jack.

My acer aspire 4740g does not power on. i have removed the battery and directly connected to the power supply but still does not turn on.

Problem description:
The laptop is completely dead. When you plug the AC adapter and press on the power button, nothing happens. The laptop has no signs of life at all. None of the LED lights is working.
Possible cause:
1. AC adapter failure.
2. Power jack failure.
3. Motherboard failure.
Possible troubleshooting steps and repair solution:
1. Test the AC adapter with a multimeter. It's possible that you have a failed AC adapter. If you don't have a multimeter, test your laptop with another known good AC adapter.
Acer Aspire 4740 AC Adapter
2. It's possible that power jack (socket where you plug the AC adapter) is broken. Remove the motherboard and take a closer look at the power jack. In some cases you can fix the jack by resoldering it on the motherboard. In other cases you have to replace the jack with a new one.
Using a multimeter, test if the power goes to the motherboard through the jack.
3. If replacing the AC power adapter and jack on the motherboard doesn't help, most likely you have a bad motherboard. Replace the motherboard.

Dont have my manual. i can't get am reception and it was good before. am reception is fine. also have a new lg led tv and the only audio coming out of the tv is an optic one, my onkyo tx-8511 does not have...

Register and download the manual for free at retrevo.com

As far as the TV audio goes... unless it is the primary source of the audio (tuned through its own antenna and available no where else) why don't you just run the actual primary source's (cable/sat, whatever) best digital audio straight to the Onkyo and skip the middleman that adds nothing to it but expensive unnecessary cable hops.

I'd also run each video sources absolute best video straight to the TV for the same reason.
