Was watching tv last night and everything was fine, turned off via remote. When went to turn on in the morning and it just went dead. Checked the fuse and that was fine, tried turning on again and goes to start up but then dies. On starting up you see the LED blink once, hear a click on 10 seconds then shuts down after 20 seconds. Is this easy and cheap to repair or should i get a new set???????? Thank you.

your tv has problem in the horizontal circuit caps in the horizontal circuit should be checked also the jungle ic.and the regulator in the power supply.have a tech repair your tv if your are not a tech. good luck.
For the last week my TV has been going to a black screen for 10 seconds or so then the picture returns. It has been continual. Last night it stopped going to black screen, but now the standby light flashes 5 consecutive times and the color went haywire. A lot of red and everything that is suppose to be black is green.
I did a soft and hard reset with no success. What's wrong and is it worth fixing? Bought new in November 2002.
If the standby light is blinking 5 times then repeating, it is likely a problem in your picture tube or related circuitry. Other possibilities include the "Jungle" IC which takes care of the video, chroma and deflection processes and is a bear to replace. Either way, it could be an expensive repair.
