SOURCE: I have lost my cd for my canon printer MP180/MP160

You certainly can download the driver from the Canon web site. Most all manufacturer's have current drivers for their hardware on their web site. If you have the MP160, it should be a quick fix. They usually supply everything that was on the cd that came with the printer.

As long as you downloaded the correct drivers from Canon.com they should work. You should, using Control Panel / Add Remove Programs, remove any and all software for your printer. Double check at the Canon site that you have downloaded the correct drivers, and then do a clean install. Check the manual and follow their instructions. If after all of that your printer still does not work, you may have a faulty printer.

You can download the drivers and other files that were on the CD here. In fact, the download files are the latest drivers (the CD is over two years old). Be sure and select the OS for your computer (Windows XP, Vista, etc.)

Can't find disc
I suggest emailing lexmark and telling them u need a disc for a Lexmark X2550 printer. Maybe tell em yours didnt come with one when u bought it and be firm...or you can continue to try and download it from the internet.

On Vista the drivers are built in. It does not need setup from disk or download.

You can go to this link and just select the opearting system that you're using on your computer Ex. windows XP then after that you can now download the software for this printer..
