I have a Sony LCD HS75P model that does something similar. My old monitor works fine but this Sony when plugged in has a little blinking orange light where the power button is. I unplug all cables and plug them back in. Same thing. I am determined to belive its the monitor at this point since the other one works. I am just wondering if there is a way to get it to work properly. Does it need to cool down? Whats the deal.

1. Try connect the monitor to other computer to see if the monitor reacts differently.
2. Try connect using all available video ports on monitor and computer, using different video cords.
3. Try booting into a safe mode with monitor connected.
4. Remove installed video card driver and try then.

Sounds like the LCD mother board is bad. I have the same problem. The board cost $75 at sva-usa.com. I trashed it and bought a use Dell LCD off craigslist for $60.

It sounds to me like your computer is not sending a signal to the monitor. If you switch monitors (borrow one if you don't have one) and the results are the same, I would look for the problem in your computer. Assuming you never see anything on the monitor when starting up the computer, the video card is suspect.
Of course, you need to check the cable connections and see if the video card (if an add-on card) is tight in the slot in the motherboard.

Monitor Acer Al 1914, no signal

Check your connections to the PC. Make sure that they are nice and secure. If there is a resolution problem setting it should display the boot process and then go blank after starting the operating system.

Rplaced power unit now the monitor will not come up with anything on it. Orange light blinking on front of cpu.

Make sure your monitor is connected to the proper video connection- that is if you have a video card in your machine and a video connection on your motherboard. If you connected to the motherboard and you have a video card -your screen will show nothing even though you are powered up. Dont know your situation, but just checking. Ive seen others do this.

No signal to monitor

Sounds like a bios issue. Check your manual for resetting your bios to default parameters. Good luck.

No Signal

If the monitor works ok with your laptop, the video graphics adapter in your computer may be defective.
