Sounds like the LCD mother board is bad. I have the same problem. The board cost $75 at sva-usa.com. I trashed it and bought a use Dell LCD off craigslist for $60.

on boot up the screen now shows nothing
I have a Sony LCD HS75P model that does something similar. My old monitor works fine but this Sony when plugged in has a little blinking orange light where the power button is. I unplug all cables and plug them back in. Same thing. I am determined to belive its the monitor at this point since the other one works. I am just wondering if there is a way to get it to work properly. Does it need to cool down? Whats the deal.
