Razr wont let me edit contacts

If you have a sim card you can just put the sim card in the new phone. Otherwise you will need to contact your service provider.

It may be caused that when you take out sim from old phome it has damaged, try for old one is it still working? if not then your sim is dead, also old phones made SIM-s to be bend and such SIM-s have difficlt electrical connection with new phones.
Also find if "this sim only" is activated in your phone.
It must give you signal, Insert sim card, or insert proper sim. If insert sim card warning card is damaged or have not enough good connection, if another, then this sim only is activated you first you must unlock it to work .

Actually the prolem doesnot lie with your phone.
ok iill try to give a best solution.
1) did you call you customer care about the Sim card activation,if you Sim card is not activated you might get "INVALID SIM CARD".
2)remove and place you Sim card properly into the phone as put the lock and check whether it fits perfectly.if your misplaced it wont work
3)IF your simcard is old,then its the problem with the sim card,try replace a new one.

i say its not the problem with you phone as long as your phone's menu,keypad,camera etc etc are working fine..

You can only transfer the contacts to your phone memory. You cannot put it to memory card.

It is by default stored in your SIM card.

I would contact your cell carrier for support on re-enabling your sim card.

Your phone is not recognizing your sim.Any sell phone that is charged can be used for emergency calls.

is this a sim lock or a network lock...
if it says enter subsidy password or contact service provider this is a network lock and u would have to buy a subsidy code from one of the vendors on ebay for around $10.00...her's a link to how u can purchase the subsidy code...

you will have to call the provider fof the service of the sim-card you purchased.

hi there try cleaning the terminal contacts of your sim and also on the phone. or maybe your sim card bends a little try flatten it slowly. if not your phone has a hardware problem. must go to nearest service center to repair that.

Hi cburke. Had this same problem. go to the phonebook, scroll to the number you want to delete and then press menu. it will take you to the edit screen then select delete, or whatever you want to do with the number. Simple really, but instructions with this phone are awful.
