You need a preamp to solve that problem, the older amps and receivers had built in phono inputs with a preamp stage. Radio Shack use to make a preamp that ran on a 9volt battery for turntables that ran into the very problem you are talking about. But I do not know if they are still available, go to www.ebay.com Type: turntable or turntable preamp

My Bose will not turn on. I know I have power because the red led light is on. The remote works fine with my TV. It worked a couple of days ago and now it seems like the signal from the remote is not going through the reciaver.

SOURCE: remote control codes for a Bose Cinemate

I would contact ur nearest Bose dealer or Contact the company through the website to get a replacement remote, you will of course need the serial number for the product when you contact them, using a universal remote can make things easier but you will not be able to access most of the functions without the original

SOURCE: Bose Cinemate green led won't come on.

Do the same thing by unplugging the power, but also unplug the interface module (box with red/green LED light) from the sub woofer / bass module, and wait 30+ seconds. Plug the interface module back in first, and screw it in as tight as possible. Then plug the power back in and try the remote. This should fix your problem. :)
If this doesn't fix it, you will have to purchase/replace this module through Bose. (anywhere from $40-$60 if not under 1-yr warranty.) If you're still under warranty, it's a free replacement.

We just got a Bose Cinemate system and have the same issue - none of the listed codes for the Synergy V work.

Has anybody got this to work yet?

I have a Bose Cinemate II and an NTSC/PAL AVOL television. I am in Germany. I want to connect the audio, but the TV only has a VGA slot, and I can't figure out how to get them together.

tv model number? does the tv has Audio Out. from tv out to bose input. could be optical or rca type whichever is available.
i think you can use the headphone out but you might need an adapter plug (male, sized to fit) then splits into two male rca plugs (left & right) which will be plug into the bose audio inputs.
if the bose has coax input (digital), better use this.

No volume cinemate gs seris ii

OK, so your Bose remote is set up for your TV. That's good. You still have to connect some kind of audio output from the TV and connect it to one of the inputs on the Bose. Then you must select the input button on the Bose remote that you connected the TV to. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

How to control volume of bose cinemate with directv remote

The code for the Direct TV remote is 31933. It doesn't work with the new RC71 remote (Direct TV limitation with that remote), but it does with the remotes that have AV1 and AV2 options.

Hi, I have a Cinemate Bose Speaker Series II System and I would like to know if I could connect Stereo Jacks from the Bose Module to a Stereo Receiver without damaging the speakers or subwoofer, and if...

That would depend on the unnamed receiver.

Most receivers have standard analog stereo outputs labeled Tape Out or something similar. You can use them as sources for stereo analog material but their outputs are not variable or under any receiver sound controls so the Bose volume will need to be adjusted. If using a Tape Output, do not select the output for listening on the receiver. THAT would disconnect the other source you're listening to.

If your receiver has a Pre-Out for the desired channels, they ARE under internal sound controls so you could set and forget the Bose volume.

How can I hook up my Bose cinemate on my Philips HD tv when no there is no Audio out and I want to use it for my dvd player, cable box, and video systems?

You don't need to send audio TO a TV. I's a TV, not a source of anything. Many of us use monitors (no TV speakers). The Bose speakers are presumably superior to the TV speakers so whatever the TV is watching (cable/sat/dvd) shuld have its own audio.

Page 11.

If your TV does not have any audio output jacks, you can connect the CineMate™ speaker

system to the audio output jacks of another source, such as a DVD player or cable/satellite

box. However, you will hear sound only from the connected source through your CineMate
speakers.

No sound coming from Bose cinemate when connected to tv.

maybe you're doing something wrong? Not familiar with how it hooks up (RCA from adio out behind tv to the input of the cinemate?) You can always contact bose directly as they seem to be good as far as customer service. I would also suggest thoroughly reading the instruction manual a few times. And if all else fails, then return it.

Bose cinemate will not power on. light stays red?

Make sure your system is not plugged into a surge protector. Sometimes a surge protector will foul the system up, don't know why. lol. I fought with my system for 3 hours trying to get it to work, then moved it from my surge protector to the wall and it came on. If that doesn't work, try disconnecting the receiver module itself, wait 60 sec, then plug it back in. If that still does not solve the problem, I would suggest calling Bose Customer Service..
