Line Output Transformer to be suspected. Check the horizontal output transistor. If it found good, replace Line Output Transformer.

most times I hear that ticking its the high voltage failure ...most likely a shorted HOT fallowed by flyback. the ticking is your shut-down engaged.

SOURCE: Picture fails

hi,

sounds like a high voltage issue, it will have to go in, i dont recommend self servicing that. may sound strange but Ive seen several tvs go by way of spouse having a plant above or near the tv, that person watering it and a few hours later mad spouse sitting in front of a busted tv that sounded just like that. also I had a cat that sprayed one and it did that. just a couple ideas for ya.

Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,
This is most likely a power supply issue
I usually replace the swollen capacitors I can see
A repairman would charge about $300 to replace them for you.

No picture, then no picture and no sound

if your could hear a slight ticking (tick-tick tick) or whining then some electronic component might have been damaged (shorted). if you have no experience repairing electronic equipments then i suggest you to send your TV to a service station!

TV starts but Does Not show picture or no sound

The Tic Tic sound is a result of the high voltage shutdown circuit. Thats what the circuit does if theres a short in the Highvoltage sweep. like maybe a shorted horizontal output transistor??. The only way to really tell is go in and measure the start up voltage and if the Hivoltage comes up and shuts down its a fault in the shutdown or Hhv regulation circuit . if it dosent come up at all then the faults in the Horizontal sweep circuit . Hope this explains a bit? good luck
