Sharp OZ-590A USB Cable Problems

Your computer uses USB Mass Storage Mode to detect your Garmin unit. If your computer does not detect your Garmin unit, you can try these troubleshooting steps:

Unplug the USB cable from the computer.
Turn the unit off and then back on again.
Plug the USB cable into your computer.
The unit either automatically goes into USB Mass Storage Mode or displays USB Mass Storage Mode as an option on the screen.

Note: If your computer still does not detect the unit, make sure that you plug the USB cable directly into the computer USB port and not the USB hub. If the cable is already plugged directly into the computer, try plugging it into a different port.

Garmin car gps

You will need 3 items to interface your Wizard with a USB port.

1. A generic USB to RS-232 adapter cable (with 9-pin serial connector, to match the connector on the OZ-730 interface cable).

2. A USB to RS-232 driver for the above cable. (If you have Windows XP: HL-340.EXE, contained in 111.rar, which can be downloaded from www.usbserialdrivers.com. If you have another version of Windows, or if you have Linux, you will have to consult the documentation on www.usbserialdrivers.com to find the correct driver.

3. Software to communicate with the Wizard. You should be able to use the software that came with it, or purchase RuppLynx, or download Microsoft ActiveSync or a similar free program.

I used a cable I purchased on ebay, the HL-340.EXE driver installer, and RuppLynx software to connect an OZ-730, an OZ-570, and a Zaurus 5800 to my Windows XP laptop without any problem.

For some reason I have a CD that is labeled "Sharp Software CD-ROM OZ-590/ZQ-590". Could this be what you are looking for?

Your phone would have came with all the associated cables it needs to connect to a PC. It's not necessarily going to have a 'USB' hole in the phone, there is an 'options' cable slot on the right hand side which will match one of the cables you received in your box, and the other end will be USB for the computer side. Make sure you install all relevant software BEFORE you plug the phone in. If you have windows vista or windows 7, make sure you run the software as administrator. Don't let the disc autorun, close it down, go into Start>computer> and right click on the disc, select 'open' or 'explore' on the disc, right click the phone software and select 'run as administrator'

First makre sure that the usb is working. Just plug anythign into the usb port and if it detect it we know that is working.

Now with the GPS plug the usb cable into the port you tested then plug the gps on the other end. Watch your screen (PC) and see if it detects the gps. It should say one of two things. One will be device discovered Garmin GPS (something along that line) or it may show USB storage device. You can plug it in and look under my computer for these if you missed what it said. Some versions of windows are better than others at detecting whats connected. And some hardware is better than other at detecting something on a connected usb cable.

You should also plug the cable into a differant port if you had left it connected and were getting this problem. And you should try plugging both into a differant computer if you can. Doing these can tell you if the problem is the gps, the cable the port or the computer itself. Usually just changing the port is all it takes.

installation program error, remove and reinstall the game, maybe you will have to contact your phones vendor worst case- good luck!

you might want to try other usb cable because there are a lot of usb's that are not following the revisions code.

Menu > clock > edit on the bottom of your screen, scroll through and alter from there
