SOURCE: Blown fuses

This is a sign the you have poor voltage regulation. Which may mean that you are taxing the electrical system of your vehicle. I would suggest you adding a secondary electrical supply for you audio system. This can be done by adding an extra alternator and voltage regulator and battery supply. This will allow you to drive your audio system without having it (power supply) split between the vehicle and the audio system. The fact is your system is drawing to much current for the unit and your vehicle. You are blowing the 20-amp fuses which means the the amp is creating a currnet draw which is past the rated value of the fuses, which if done too many times could damage the power amp components in the unit. I would also check the ohmage reating on the speakers connect to the unit since you may have the wrong impedance which may also cause excessive current draw and actuate some sort of overcurrent protection.

SOURCE: Alpine MRP-M650 : Power LED turns on but no sound

is the remote lead properly connected to the head unit? if the power led is on then the power cable and earth must be good, check the remote lead 2 your head unit first, if thats all good try looking at the amp to see whether theres a small switch to adjust the output going to the subs, if its very low or right off then nothing will be going through to the subs. if its on high and fine it only realy leaves the neg and pos inputs from the amp 2 the subs.

cheers, adam

About Power supply wires (MRP-M1000 only)

• 21mm2 is the minimum power and ground cable size

that should be used to connect this amplifier. The

length of these cables should not exceed 1m to assure

safe operation.

• If the length of the power and ground cables exceed

1m, or if you connect more than one amplifier, a distribution

block should be used with 33mm2 or 53mm2

power and ground cables depending on the length

necessary. Ensure that you install a correctly-rated

in-line fuse on the power cable near the battery positive

post.

I haw alpine mrp-m350 amplifier how many sub can i

Hook up the MRP-M350 to one 4-ohm sub, and you get 200 watts RMS; connect a second 4-ohm subwoofer and the power output increases to 350 watts! All that juice means that your subs won't just be loud, they'll sound clean and thumping.

Can this power a subwoofer and what is the rms wattage

Hello crucible19,

The Alpine MRP-F240 is a 4-channel amp that outputs 40 watts RMS per channel. It is more suited for powering normal speakers, but since it is bridgeable, you could power a small sub by bridging 2 of the channels.

Hope this helps.

No sound from subs.

Sounds like you have the Remote turn on hooked to constant 12V instead of a switched power.
The Blue/White wire off the module should go directly to the amplifier remote terminal.
If this has a constant 12V when the key is off, the module is defective and needs to be repaired/returned.
