Hoover H120M Washing Machine No fabric softner and dial clicking round
When I put my machine on it often allows the dial to click round, sometimes back to the position that I put it on but sometimes onto a different wash cycle.
At the rinse stage when the fabric softner should be taken into the machine, the water runs through the tray where the cleaner comes from (sometimes, not always?), which means the softner is left in the drawer at the end of the wash.
At the end of the cycle, the machine does not always spin very well and the clothes are too wet.
The machine is 5 years old and i would like to fix it rather than replace it. Can you give me some advice please? Thank you.

Always check your carbon brushes which are situated at your motor covered in a plastic covering must be at least 8ml long these start at 1inch in length may not be giving enough contact to your motor for the timer to click into action m8 but if these are ok then it will be more than likely your timer which is faulty with it not doing the water inlet valves properly

I read about liquid detergents and fabric softners not being the best to use in the machine so I used powder for the first time the other evening and the smell seemed to ease a good bit. its not gone fully but I will continue with the powder and see how I get on.
The pressure switch is sensing that there is still water in the unit,it sits at the top of machine under the top cover,it is round and usually red in color remove the hose/tube from it and blow through it to make sure it is clear, you can also remove the switch itself and lightly blow into it you will hear a couple of clicks put it back together and give it a shot..
i had the problem of my brand new washing machine not taking the conditioner and the customer service advisor rightly guessed that i was using concentrated liquid and advised me to dilute it with warm water then put it in the drawer because sometimes the liquid is too thick for the machine to take.try this!!!!! regarding the powder why not put it directly in the machine or buy tablets and do the same with those
