Sansa MP3 Player will not turn on

I have fully charged my player, disconnected it correctly from the computer, but now it will not switch on. How do I switch it on - the hold button is not in the locked position. It's as if the player has frozen and will not turn on. Regards,

I had the exact same problem it was after I ran a new firmware update, it flashed on and then turned off and would not turn on or recognize the computer. Solution: Since i didn't have a mini screwdriver to take the battery out, I held down the menu and power button for 15 seconds let go and it powered right up and works great.

Mine had the same problem except it would not work when connected to the computer either. to fix the problem, I unscrewed the back and removed the battery for a couple seconds. After putting it back in, the mp3 player worked perfectly fine.

Without warning and without any impact or damage, it just stopped working, no power, nothing. And it's not a battery issue, the battery was almost completely charged.

Try and reset again.
1. Slide and hold the Power switch up for approximately 20 seconds.
2. Release the Power switch.
3. To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly.

Part 2 - Make sure the player is fully charged.
1. Connect the player to the PC.
2. Make sure the computer detects the player.
NOTE: This part is important:, switch the player to MSC mode, then connect it to the PC.  3. Leave the player connected for approximately 2 hours to charge.
4. Disconnect the player from the PC.  5. Verify if you can turn on the player.  6. Reset the player if necessary one more time.

Cannot tell when sansa mp3 player is fully charged.

Make sure the hold switch is not engaged - it will interfere with the charging process. Here is a link to the full user's manual:
