Most machines are very, very similar, therefore, no matter what brand you own, there's basically the same steps to follow: 1. Place good quality thread on spool pin, back right-hand side of machine and raise presser foot UP. 2.Pull thread taut from spool.Make sure silver take-up lever raised to highest position. 3. Guide thread under first tension disc. 4. Hold thread taut, guiding thread into next tension disc. When you get to the take-up leaver (silver lever on right side of machine that has a hole at the top--hold thread taut guiding it from right to left through hole, bring thread down left side of it, and put thread into tension bracket, hold thread taut! Put thread in back of needle into another small bracket and pull thread towards you. Time to thread needle: put thread front to back into eye of needle. Put thread under presser foot and pull under the center of it a good 6".Lower presser foot on scrap of fabric to test. Turn hand wheel toward you to lower needle into fabric scrap. Use foot (or knee depending on machine) to start machine. Do not pull or push fabric but gently guide it. Jimmy Place fabric scrap under needle. Low

Upper thread guide is stuck/frozen on my kenmore sewig machine

Not sure what you are asking. Thread guides generally are stationary and do not move.

Thread won't stay around upper thread guide. What am I doing wrong? Kenmore sewing machine. Thread is not breaking but slipping from the guide

The thread path you are following is probably incorrect. Since we don't know anything about your machine, we are unable to be of any help. Suggest reviewing the threading instructions in the owner's manual.

How do I thread a kenmore sewing machine model #117812

For the top thread, make sure that the needle is fully up. With the spool on the spool pin. Bring the thread in front and under the first hook and then under and behind hook two. Bring the thread down and under the third point below the spring eyelet. Bring the thread up until hooks into that spring eyelet. Continue up and get the thread into the hole in the take-lever from back to front. Bring the thread down to the needle clamp thread guide and hook it into the guide. Finally pass the thread through the needle from left to right.

The manual for the 117.812 is the same as that for the 117.552. Manuals Lib has this manual here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1050640/Kenmore-117-552.html . The threading diagram and instructions are on page 4, https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1050640/Kenmore-117-552.html?page=4#manual . See the later pages for winding and setting up the bobbin. The pictures may help more than the verbal description.

I hope this helps.

How to thread Consew Industrial Sewing Machine 206RB

Every machine is a little different, but the basics are the same. Our 7th grade Home Eco. teacher taught us the first day...
"...Start at the thread spool, thread guide, thread guide, tension, take up lever, thread guide, thread guide, needle. Learn this and you can thread any sewing machine"

she was right, As this hold true for my kenmore, juki, singer and new home machines. Same basics for industrial machines too.

Hope this helps.

My Kenmore sewing maching 385-19233 has problems with the tension. the lower thread is coming out with tiny loops - almost like a double thread. I am not able to correct it by adjusting the tension dial,...

Usually, it is the top thread causing the problem. Rethread entire machine. Then, pull both threads (upper and lower) with the presser foot up and leave a 6" tail. Make sure that you do not miss any guides, check your manual to make sure that you haven't missed a guide in your threading, and the direction of your thread on both bobbin and upper going the right way Youtube has excellent videos on threading for free..

Instructions for theading a Sears Kenmore Sewing machine model 158.14000

all machines thread the same. TTN tension, take up, needle.
Beginning with the spool, guide the thread through the thread guides to the tension assembly. Pull the thread through the tension assembly and test it to make sure the tension is working correctly.
(To do this test, adjust your tension setting to normal or medium or 5 or something in the middle. Raise the presser foot and pull the thread through the tension. It should pull easily!! Lower the presser foot and pull the thread. It should pull noticeably harder.) If it passes this test, continue up through the take up lever, then down through the thread guides to the needle. Make sure your needle is fully inserted and turned the correct way.( If you load your bobbin case from the left side, the needle rule is normally FLAT to the RIGHT is RIGHT. There are some exceptions. If you have a newer style drop in bobbin or your bobbin case loads in the front then the rule is FLAT to the BACK.

To wind the bobbin, guide the thread around the thread guide on
the left top of your machine, then to the bobbin winder. Wind the thread around the bobbin several times, place the bobbin on top of the bobbin winder, push it against the wheel and press the foot pedal. It should stop winding when the bobbin is full or you take your foot off the control
