Printing only the top quarter of the page.

Over the last two weeks the printer has stopped printing the whole of the page. To start with this was just an occasional happening. Now it prints only about the top 4 ins, of A4 page---- but this is variable. I have been through the help processes, and the Windows XP Printer Test Page, and this is Ok. It stops at about 5 ins, and I have to press the release button to forward the paper through the roller, the bottom half of the paper is blank. If I attempt to print a Photoshop image the colours are also changed. The warning message box comes up with 'An error has occurred'

Believe it or not all you have to do (probably) is to clean out your temporary internet files. This quite often works.

How to stop printing once it has started

For Brother Laser Machines. Start by pulling the paper tray out a little. This allows the page that is currently feeding through the system the chance to get through without jamming causing a whole slew of other problems.

Once the printer has stopped trying to feed the pages through coming up with an error saying paper out then you can look at deleting all the print jobs in the print queue on your computer. All but the one currently being printed should disappear when you delete them. The one that is left will be errored.

Then turn your printer off for 30 seconds closing the paper tray and try to delete that last job from the queue.

If it will not go then turn your printer back on and let the last couple of pages print out. these are pages that are stuck in the system. If the print job did disappear then just turn on your printer as normal and it should be clear of any jammed printing and you don't end up with Paper Jams in the printer to clear.

When i ask to print all (pages), only the last page gets printed. I have to select and print each page separately to print out whole documents. I'm printing from an Hp using windows Vista 6.0. This...

some printers collate pages, which means they print from the last page to the first page. so that when you pick up the pages from the finished printing tray they are in order.

if you say it stops after the first page, there are a few possible reasons for this.
either you closed the application you were printing from before you finished printing (which sometimes cancels the printing job)
or the computer decided it wanted to cancel the printing on its own, this can happen if the printer has sometimes an error, this error or cause could be a lag between the data transfer to the printer.

try printing without collating the pages, while keeping the application/document open.

and make sure you have the latest drivers.

I try to print a card or bank statements and nothing is printing just put in new ink, it only prints the 1st page of a quarter fold card, it should all be on one page and it prints only partial card

IF the Kodak AiO printer is printing partial ther are two main device of the printer that have issue on the scanner [where you put the document for copying] or the printhead of the printer.
Step that you can do
1. Try to print a test page in this way you can check if the printer prints whole page. How to print test page press copy button and photo button on the printer for atleast 10 sec. or until the printer starts printing. Reminder Test page doesn't need a document on the scanner glass. It will print an advertising doc for the printer. Now if the test page is half/partial it is the printhead that has an issue. If it print the whole page it is the scanner that has issue contact kodak for printer repair
2.Clean the printhead twice and reseat the printhead it
How: press menu button then select clean printhead then select basic/deep clean. To reseat printhead open the printer access door; remove the ink cartridges; remove the printhead; close the printer access door then open the printer access door insert the printhead then the ink cartridges.
3. Try to print again [For futher support call Kodak support line at 1 800 421 6699]

SunSystems Financials - when printing we are getting a blank page before printing starts. The print setting have Page Control set to N which should stop this happening. Has anyone got any ideas?

Hopefully the printer drivers needs to be updated as there could be internal conflict ,also you will be required to reset the printer by power flee ,i was facing same problem last week

I have a HP 7250 All in One and the paper keeps jamming. In addition the document will only print 3 quarters of the page and starts about a quarter into the document when it does print. What can I do

I had the same problem.. Make sure the back of the computer roller is snapped shut.. that should solve your problem if it is not..

Splits 1 page into 4 quarter pages. For example: prints first quarter of page, then at the top of the second page prints the second quarter of the page. Reloaded software, no help. Any ideas

It would help to know the model and driver type but if you browse to the printer driver and right click the printer and click properties look and the bottom of the screen and click print test page. If that page comes out incorrectly then there might be an issue with the hardware on the printer itself like a paper sensor or rollers that transport paper thru the machine.

Last page of printing stops 3/4 through the page.

Try cleaning your heads with appropriate solution. Then, cancel all print jobs. Try again. If it does the same i would turn it off, inplug all the cables, replug all and turn on. Try again. If still no good, completely unistall printer then reinstall it. Try once more. Good luck
