Stains are random and look like blood or rust splotches have dripped on clothes as they go through cycles Maybe rust, but rust remover doesn't do a thing. Usually don't notice until out of dryer, so could possibly be dryer problem Both drums are clean as a whistle on the inside.

We had the same problem on a 7-yr. old WFK02401 washer that had been used daily for 7 years. Bosch's approved repair people quoted us $350 for installing a new motor. In fact, all it needed - knock wood - was new motor brushes, for which I paid all of $45, including shipping (or cheaper, if I'd ordered directly from Bosch.) To replace these requires a half-inch wrench and a bit of confidence and common sense. I won't go into all the details, here, except to say that you need to remove just two bolts, unattach the bundle of wires strapped to the motor housing, take out the motor, replace the brushes, and put back the motor. There may be a problem with one of the control modules in the machine - electronics that oversee the washing cycle and turn the motor and other items on and off during same - in which case you may want to find a repair person. I just learned that there is a circuit diagram pasted under the machine's top cover; it includes some resistance values (ohms) that can help with troubleshooting, I believe. Bosch's own repair/service people - third-parties, all of them - are not going to want to replace brushes; they make more money doing entire motors, I imagine. Also, they do not like it when a man watches them work or worse, when a woman (aka my wife) asks them smart questions. They are used to having their way with slightly intimidated and ignorant females - trust us, and pay us. But that's another story.

There is not a Spin Only Cycle BUT there is a REFRESH cycle that will take about 10 minutes.
Sometimes when the load is unbalanced and the machine can not balance the load by itself, the clothes will remain soaked. To avoid this, make sure you always have a balance of small and large things and when loading your machine, do not shove the items in so they ball up.

I suggest that you check the brushes in the motor for wear.
Remove rear panel, remove drive belt, undo bolts securing motor, unplug motor lead and earth wire.
Lever motor back, keeping hold of it, and remove.
Check the brushes, they are at the opp end to the motor pulley, if there is less than 8mm left, then replace brushes.
I would also check the pump filter, and clean if req'd.

on our WFK 2401 purchased in 2001
If you hear no motor spinning when it should then it's something
with the motor. If you hear motor spinning, esp spin cycle, but
the drum doesn't spin, then probably broken belt ($30 part).
Since I work on cars (this is very much like an alternator+belt) and wanted to avoid a $100 service call (just to come to house) and
at least try for a quick fix before buying a new washer, I opened the back, confirmed belt looked ok, so tried
replacing the brushes in the motor, and it worked.

There are a lot of things to consider when trying to solve this problem. Obviously a front loader washes differently than a top loader. Top loaders tend to using a washing motion that is good for stains but wear out your clothes fast. Front loaders typically use less water and wash more gently, but in some ways still do better than top loaders. Anyway, think about any other variables that go into the laundry equation. Consider the distance the machine is from your water heater. This machine will use MUCH less water to fill than your old one, and, you know how when you turn a faucet on hot it takes a minute for the hot water to actually get there? It's the same way with your machine. If there's a sink next your washer, you should always turn on the hot water on the faucet until it gets hot right before you start the machine. The same goes for dishwashers. If there's not a sink close you can easily turn up the temperature for all hot water on your water heater, although that will use more energy.
Consider what detergent you're using. If you're using high efficiency detergent (like Tide he) maybe you should switch to your old brand. If you're using your old brand of detergent, try getting a high efficiency detergent.
