i believe my problem is due to the condensate hose being blocked in some way but my dryer will start and run for 10 to 15 minutes then stop and a "e1" will show up and my cloths will be hot and full of moisture.

LG DLE5977W dryer displays Clean Filter and hums without turning drum when Start button is pushed

I would guess a broken drive belt. Just take top off and check. Two screws on back, pull top back about 2 inches, left off. Belt should be around drum. If belt is loose or gone, it's broken.

the belt broke, you can buy a kit with the belt, rollers and pulley, change out everything and you'll be good to go.next time send the model number.good luck.while you have the dryer apart, vac out all the dust and lint and if you have a shop vac put it on blow and blow the motor out and clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, also if your vent line is a long run remove it from the back of the dryer and blow it out with a leaf blower if you have one.

Dryer comes on, drum is turning, no heat

clean the vent tubing for lint build up causes the moister sensor to put the burner into the check mode if clogged up.
if the vents are clean and the same problem persist, check the spark ignitor. it clicks when igniting the burner upon start up

I have a front loader that smells like something died in it. I have tried affresh bleach Tide washer cleaner Basic G leaving the door open cleaning the gasket washing the drum cleaning the filter and hoses...

you can open the filter drainage under near the drain hose. there may be something that comes into the washer drum and died leaving a smell. how to open the filter is rotated and pulled out only. then you try to drain the washing machine how to turn it. will allow water or sewage, which is in the drum filter out of the hole. and do not forget to clean the exhaust filter the water, there will be a lot of dirt.

Gas dry will not heat

Do this first
Remove all exhaust vent tubing and clean it out thoroughly.
Any lint build up will prevent the burner to operate
A moister sensor stops the burner when it senses lint build up
Reattach the vents now and proceed to the next steps below
If thoroughly cleaned & no build up is present start the dryer and listen for the spark ignitor to click. If it does not click the ignitor is bad. If it does click and no heat appears to come through the dryers drum within 30 seconds the moister sensor is at fault

G.E. gas dryer will not heat.

either the moister sensor is bad or the venting needs to be cleaned thoroughly. If clogged full of lint the sensor shuts down the heat until it is cleaned out

Grinding sound - drum turns then nothing - just grinding sound until E20 warning.

Hello,
Can you turn the drum by hand.E20 relates to a fault with either the pump or the filter or drain may be blocked, check the filter is clean and the pump can be turned by hand, its up at the end of filter housing and can be seen depending on the model. If the drum cant be turned freely then you have something stuck inside the drum.

Hope this was helpful.

Drier Filter

There is one filter below the drum, but this for the water drain and there should be another filter another filter for the dryer there should be a filter between the drum and the exhaust hose for the hot air is. You should be able to pull this filter out for cleaning
