I need to entirely wipe and reformat my laptop hard drive. There was a problem with major, multiple viruses and has now been corrupted(I believe). I need to simply wipe the drive entirely so that i may securely install a new OS. The system last had windows vista and due to a failed installation, currently has no OS.

You can install the windows to follow this step.
Make sure that the CD drive is on first boot. When you turn on your laptop you need to press the delete key fast, to access the BIOS. Once you have change the BIOS settings you need to save it. After you save once the laptop detecting the windows CD press the enter key fast also to boot from CD.
Soft reset/reformat - Type *#7370# and the phone's lock code (Nokia default lock code is 12345). Warning!Soft reset wipes the C drive/phone memory!
Hard reset - Switch the phone off. Press and hold three keys together, the green key, the * key and the number '3'. While you are holding these keys, switch the phone on. Don't release these three keys before you see the NOKIA logo.
Warning! Hard reset wipes the C (phone memory) drive.
