Question about Panasonic PT-47WX5347 47" Rear Projection Television
I try and turn on TV and it appears to begining to start up ( I get a quick, messed up picture)then it shuts off and power LED just blinks. I unplugged it for a couple of days and tried it again and low and behold it worked for a few more days. But now it is back to old problem and unplugging does not help anymore. please help. thanks.
I would check for loose intermitant conections,by now your set might have a few,if you are familiar with tv service you can remove the back cover and with a wooden or rubber handle tap in different areas of the chassis then plug it back in try to turn it on if the set comes on and stays on you should try tapping on the chassis to see if the set goes off,We need to find where the loose conection is to correct it for good. The set should have a few overheated areas witch will need to be resoldered.(like the convergence IC's),If you are not too familiar with servicing you should call for assistance from a servicer.Let Us know if you need more information.
