Need more detailed answer to problem of finding stripes on copies.
Someone suggested cleaning something called a "transfer charger." I would be happy to clean it if I knew what it was and where it is located. I can open two ends of my Canon ImageClass D320 copier. I can remove the toner cartridge from one side, but I need more details. Can you please help? THANK YOU!

Verify the problem is in the imaging units or the transfer belt units.Remove the transfer unit and clean on vacuum cleaner the transfer belt cleaning blade. If you see the stripes on transfer belt after cleaning is work normally. If not observ stripes on transfer belt the problem is located in imaging unit.Enter in service mode :Press Utility key-Meter count- Details-Stop 00-Stop01 Select Test mode-select Gradation test pattern and select the Cyan press Start, after select Magenta Press Start,Yellow +Start,Black4+Start.If any color test pattern is not graduate the problem located to image unit when is not graduaTE.
Hi check the developer unit make sure it is coated end to end some times the blade on the developer gets foreig matter stuck and prevents the developer/toner to go onto areas of the developer mag roller
also check and make sure the transfer corona wires are in good condition no black marks on the corona wire if there is replace the wires
If you changed your developer? Or did you change the Toner Cartridge?
White stripe? Check the charge on the drum, it might have a piece of dust on it.
take the charge out, (dont take it apart) hold it up to some light, you might see some dust particles hanging in the grid. If so, rub very lightly with finger, do not use a cloth to clean. Blow it with a can of air.
Clean the transfer charge as well
Usually replace those as it is such a pain to clean on the smaller machines.
if you need any further help let me know
