IXUS 700 zoom problem

Hi, One year before I brought canon IXUS700 digital camera. It was working fine till last week. Last week I suddently found that the zoom button is not working. I do not remember any dropping of the camera. I can not use zoom button in any of the mode. All other functions are working fine. Can anyone guide what should do to rectify this zoom button problem? Thanks & Regards Suresh

I have a Canon Ixus 700 with a 2GB SD card. I dont know why, but sometimes after I take a picture it deletes the previous ones. For instance, I have taken 20 pictures, everything ok, when I take the 21st...

Have you ever connected the camera to your computer for downloading and then disconnected it without using the "safely remove hardware" function? If so, you could have corrupted the camera. Try going into the menu and find "reset" to get back to factory default settings. Also, have you ever tried using a separate card reader for downloads? It's easier and faster and it's entirely possible that your missing pics will show up. fa1b737.jpg

I'm having problems with I focus the camera out. It becomes burrie

The camera has limited ability to zoom out. I believe you have a 3x optical zoom, and a 7 x digital zoom. Once you go beyond the optical zoom, the camera attempts to digitally render the zoom which can cause pixalation, or bluriness. This should never be an issue inside the optical zoom range as the image is going directly through the lens.

Can ixus700 upgrade to use 4gb memory card?

The ixus 700 is only specified to be compatible with SD memory cards (and MMC cards). The protocol for SD cards only covers up to 2MB. Cards of higher capacity are the SDHC (high capacity) protocol, but this protocol did not exist when the ixus 700 was introduced. As far as I can tell, there is no way to upgrade to be compatible with the newer protocol.

Canon ixus 70

Is this on the camera that you want to do it or on photoshop? If on photoshop it only involves cropping the area you want and then enlarging the image size.

Canon will not power up.

This will happen when the batteries are dead. Please replace or recharge. The lens will not go back in until you restore power.
